Hello Everyone!!  Hope you are all getting all your Christmas shopping done ( I haven't bought a single thing yet!).
I wanted to let you know I was at GNC today and they had Isopure (individual bottles) for $1.19 each!!  I bought all they had (they only had 12 left), and the guy who checked me out said, "WOW!!  Do you realize you saved over $45??"  Anyway, maybe I was stupid because I am just buying stuff to have for after my upcoming surgery on New Year's Eve.....I may not even like the stuff!!  But, I figured at that price, it was bargain for a protein drink!!
I just thought if any of you like it, you might want to check it out at your local GNC's.
Please keep me in your prayers as I begin my journey tomorrow by starting the pre-op liquid diet.....I may need them to get through the next 10 days!!
Thanks!!

Marie,

You got a bargain for sure.  Just know that the bottles taste better than the mix does.  Normally GNC is one of the most expensive places you can go, so they are probably clearancing the bottles out.

An alternative zero carb, zero fat, zer gritty taste is Syntrax Nectar brand of protein powders.  It tastes a million times better than the isopure mix. (don't get me wrong Isopure is one of the best formulas that all of the doctors love, but Nectar is even finer in powder, taste and you can mix it in more things than isopure and it mixes immediately instead of constantly haing to shake it up like 90% of the other high quality mixes out there.)

Thanks for the reply......I have heard of the Syntrax Nectar.....do they sell that at GNC also?  If not, do you think I can pick it up at Akins?  I just haven't seen it before.  Thanks!!

T, Help me out here....
I bought the netar protein powder and i cannot get that stuff to mix up. It just clumps up and is nasty. I am really regretting spending so much money on that stuff because of th is. I shake it up with a blender bottle.

Emily stir it with a fork. I know sounds weird but it is better and mixes better that way.

em, you're mixing too much at one time, add a little, shake it...add a little, shake it. i've only had it clump up once and it was becasue I put too much in at one time.  Putting it into a blender is always the best way, but if no blender it's fine just adding a bit at a time.
