OK...Seriously?

As most of you know, I had my gall bladder removed on Wednesday...

Ever since then, I have had this stabbing pain in my shoulder from a gas bubble that just won't go away. I've had to have a heating pad or and Icy Hot patch on it 24/7 since the morning after my surgery.

So I woke up this morning, and low and behold, my shoulder doesn't hurt... I'm thinking YAY right? I get myself ready because a guy is supposed to come and look at a saddle that I have for sale at 8:30. At 8:20, I start down the stairs, get to the last 4 steps, miss my footing, and fall face first onto the tile floor at the bottom. My surgery incisions are fine, luckily, my knee broke my fall. All of my weight landed on my left knee as it hit the tile, and my feet banged against the last two stairs, which just happen to be wood.

All I have to say is are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!?!

But the good news is that the guy bought the saddle lol.

Oh geeze Louise-that' gives me the shivers just thinking about it-I'm pretty sure falling on stairs on fresh surgery is one of my biggest ugliest nightmares.......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh. (I really don't care for stairs anyway, so it just builds from there).

Glad you sold the saddle, but please take extra special care of yourself for the rest of the day-lots of heating pads for shoulders, ice for knees, and maybe a good movie to pile up in bed with.

Ha, there's no sitting around for me, it's the weekend before christmas, I've got stuff to do lol. I'll be super careful walking across the parking lots though.

You know....  men aren't supposed to ask pretty girls this question, but you know me...i shall push my limits...

Are you a clutz?

Finally...i hope you're ok and that you'll take it easy this week since you've had a pretty tramatic ordeal last week...

I'm not normally a clutz, I'm just very uncoordinated. I've actually never fallen down stairs before in my life...It's just my week I guess.

Golly, Michelle. I just cringed at your post. Since you are so soon out of surgery (and a complicated surgery, at that), please consider calling your surgeon and just letting him know what happened. Do this especially if you live alone, so someone will call you in a day or two, to check on you. Even if you feel fine, just sore, please call.
Take care, and I'm saying a prayer for you right now.
Blessings,
Mary

I was going to tell you that the pain in your shoulder was probably from the gas they fill your abdominal cavity with, so they can see to do the Gall Bladder removal and that you'll be fine.  Instead, I'll share a clutzy moment story with you.  The day after I had my laparoscopic gall bladder removal, I went out to feed some hay to my horses.  Since I'm the responsble horse owner type, I had gotten in a full 2 months feed order, just in case they had to do the gall bladder the hard way and laid me up for a while.  Well, I stepped into the feed shed and was up to my ankles in water.  All I could think of was $2500 of alfalfa going to the trash.  At the time we liveid in California and alafalfa was $200/ton and I had just gotten a semi truck load.   Our bales out there ran about 100 to 115 lbs too.  I started chucking those bales out of the feed shed as fast as I could pick them up and toss them.  Never even felt my incisions breaking.  Until I went into the house and saw the blood on my shirt......Oh yeah, I got hollered at big time by the Dr.

So if you didn't break open your incisions, and you're not hurting, unless you want some of this: , I'd stay ssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh!   Hope things get bwtter for you soon.
