back to basics

I am writing this to remind myself how very important it will be over the next 2 weeks--Holidays and all--to get the basics in each day.
I will list my personal top three and then I wanna hear from everybody any boosting thoughts they have about " the basics"and what it means for you.
#1--WATER--64 ounces minimum daily
#2--stock up on food preps--eggs, string cheese, meat, FF refried beans, etc., be prepared at parties to eat what is right for me
#3-- VITAMINS--yep they taste yucky but I gotta do them everyday

I know this topic is NOT glamorous or fun. But I really do not want to stray from the path that is saving my life!!! I think looking back over the last 30 years of my life the main reason I never achieved/maintained weight loss was because I let it slip down to a 2nd or 3rd or 58th place in my priorities.
Consequently, I will feel victorious if/when I charge through stressful holiday eating with my basics firmly in place.
Help me out by adding your basics to mine!!!!!!!!!!!!

EXERCISE!!   To keep that weight off or coming off younee dto get enough exercise so you burn more calories than you take in. Dancing is a great exercise if you are at parties. You get a twofor.

Priority #1  ---   Don't screw up royally!

Priority #2  ---   Exercise

Priority #3  ---   It's ok to have something out of the ordinary.....if I don't blame myself too much I am bound not to do it too often

BTW....good subject Lisa...

My number one priority would be to get all my fluid in.  If I get my fluid in then I stay on trac much better.  I have a really good routine on the weekdays about spreading my water out and getting it all in plus on most days.  The weekends are hard because I don't start drinking as early and I'm behind before noon.

My second priority is to make sure I have things that I can eat without any problems.

My third would be to remember that the holidays are not and should never have been about the food.  I need to embrace what has happened to me this past year and be thankful.  I also want to embrace those that I love and will be having an opportunity to spend with holidays with.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

1. I gotta agree with Fleemore (hey, there btw!) on getting the liquids in. I have a hard time at work, so it should be much easier now that I"ll be home until January 4.

2. More protein at breakfast.

3. I agree with Anna, too. Anna, you look amazing in your picture!

4. Do better with my calcium
