Absolutely Spoiled by WW
Well as many of you know, I had to have my gall bladder removed yesterday. The original plan was to do it at the Foundation Bariatric Surgery Center. Then we found out that my insurance would cover more of the cost if we had it done at Mercy.
First off, Dr. Walton was totally fine with driving over to Mercy just to do my surgery. Most other surgeons would have asked a collegue or someone else to do it if they would have had to commute from one side of the city to the other.
Then we get ready to go, and just some fyi, my Mom has recently started working at Mercy, so she asked me if I wanted to take something to drink after surgery. I just looked at her, it never occurred to me that they wouldn't have bottled water, propel, crystal light, or chicken broth like WW does.
So I got a bottle of Fuze and took it with me. If my mom had not told me that they only have fruit juice and pop, I would have been screwed. Weight Wise has spoiled me in terms of hospital care, not just with the drinks provided. I had to be at Mercy two hours ahead of my surgery time, and at WW I need to be there about 45 minutes ahead of time.
Not only that, but the hospital rooms at WW are so much nicer than anywhere else I've ever been, they are all private, nice and big, with not just a chair for visitors, but a couch that folds out into a bed as well.
I'm not dogging Mercy, they are an excellent hospital with the greatest people working there, but I just never thought I would need to bring my own post op drink to a hospital lol.
But all on the good side, I can fit comfortably into a regular sized hospital gown now!!! That made me a little excited. I only needed to wear one, instead of one backwards and one forwards so as to not flash my bum to everyone around.
So if anyone out there is woried about the quality of care you will receive at WW, don't be. They absolutely spoil the heck out of you, and make everything centered around making you comfortable, no matter how much you weigh.

Now then...are you saying that you had some flashing issues with your bum before when you stayed? Maybe me, dan, and John would be interested in picking up pictures of the above referenced event.....
Just an idea...and stuff...
