WW Vitamin Question
Hi, Amber.
I promise I'm not stalking you. :) Of course, your dietician is the one to check with, even if by email. However, I can tell you what I was put on at 2 weeks: Continue with Protonix/Prilosec and 2 Multivitamin daily. Add 4 chewable Calcium (make sure it's the right kind of Calcium), 1 Iron daily, and 1 sublingual B12 weekly. All should be chewable at this point, with the B12 sublingual (melts under your tongue). I use the Celebrate Vitamins, because I like the taste, and I bought the B12 at WalMart--the taste is fine.
Hope this helps. Do check in with your dietician, though.
Blessings,
Mary

Hi Amber - Mary got it all right, except that at your age you only need to take 3 Calcium supplements a day (that is based on the ones they sell at WW). Gotta admit that getting the Calcium in has been hard for me. You can take your daily Iron pill at the same time as your multi-vitamin (assuming you aren't using a vitamin that already includes iron). However, you need to take your Calcium 2 hours apart from the multi-vitamin for better absorption. Chris suggested just chewing one with each meal......if we ever return to eating 3 meals a day that might work.
You know the basics of the food plan from your pre-op diet class. You can also add 2 healthy fats per day (will be good for your hair & skin). There wasn't anything "new" discussed at the Post-Op diet class, so you should be fine, but like Mary said - email them if you have a question.
