I go in tomorrow morning at 9 45 to get my gall bladder taken out, I'm not sure if they will want to keep me overnight or not, and definately not sure if I will have a computer with me like I did right after my VSG, so I might be incredibly bored lol. As long as they give me good pain pills I'll be a happy camper. :) Wish me luck.

I had mine removed lapriscopically years ago and I was done as an outpatient. I wish you a quick and easy surgery and recovery.  Keep us posted.

Good luck-remember to rest as much as you can-it helps pass the time.  It's not a fun thing (gall bladder surgery) but I'm glad you are having it taken care of before it becomes a critical issue.

Michelle,

You'll be up and going in no time.  I had my gallbladder removed several years ago and it was nothing.  Let us know how you're doing.

Hugs,

I had my gallbladder out back when they cut you wide open and you were in the hospital 5 or 7 days! You go home and can't lift for 6 weeks....The problem was I had 2 little ones and one was 9 mo. old!   I think the only thing left inside me are my major organs. I have no room in the Inn for children, no ovaries, no gall bladder....Ohhhhhhhhh but I have my apendix!! Go figure! It's all stuff you don't need so...it's no big deal! I am so glad they found all this out now for you!
Good luck sweetie!!

I'm like Sherry.  I had my gallbladder out in 79 when my middle child was 6 months old and I also had a 2 1/2 year old at home.  I have a scar about  a mile long (no more bikinis for me)LOL.  I was able to convince my surgeon at that time to also take my apendix out at the same time since my Mom was in the hospital at that same time because her's had ruptured.  He said I'll take it out if I can reach it and I told him to just cut until he could get to it and he did!!!  At least now it is laprascopic!!!  Good Luck Michelle!  You'll be fine.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!
