Ok my friends...  i am making a confession...

I will be eating things I shouldn't eat sometime this week.  I've got a guest who is one of the most amazing cooks of my time.  I've been to her restaurants only to have convulsions of ecstasy.  I knew about her before she made it bigtime....and I loved her cooking way back "in the day".

Anyway, i'm not guilty about it.  I have asked my local nutritional guru and she has approved me for less than what I'm gonna eat....but I've compensated by adding an extra mile to my morning run or swim.  so yes...it contains carbs... and lots of them, so I shall be the martyr of carbs sometime this week. (part of her stay came at a price...i'll trade one of her meals for one night free to her and her entourage)...  So my entourage is paying me for their plates to make up for the difference and I still get the meal i want outta it without cost to me...lmao

I won't be on nearly as much as normal for this week just due to making sure things are running top notch in Tortola and here...so I'll definitely try to keep up with all of the fun you guys are having while taking care of the people I've got this week! So try to forgive my indescretions of eating...

The nicest thing about it is she gave me the most awesome compliments on my cooking!  They came in late last night and were starving and I said...ummm...I've got pork loin...greenbeans...heavy cream...gorgonzola....cranberries....walnuts....basil....and thyme...  she said something about tasting this reminded her of being in heaven....

Off to work I go...

Good for you, Thomas!  You know, I am a firm believer of allowing myself occasional foodgasms as well, compensating with additional exercise and such.  IMO, I had surgery to be "normal".  Well, "normal" folks do, on occasion, splurge and fully enjoy what life has to offer, including sensational foods.  It is because of my new life, however, that that momentary "party in my mouth" doesn't last for months on end, 24/7, never ending, until I eat so much, gain so much, am miserable, and beating myself up.  Yeah, I am loving the new mindset I have gained over the years, and I see you are as well...Congrats!

Enjoy every last morsel, Thomas!

Sounds like you have a plan in place and are going to handle it just fine.

Just keep up the extra exercise and enjoy but not to much.

It sounds like you're going about this the right way. You're making your plans, including what and how much you're going to eat, and you're scheduling in extra exercise. It sounds good to me. Enjoy! Eat with thanksgiving and with discipline, and it's all good.
Blessings,
Mary

I'm with Janice-the all or nothing mentality got us into this mess.....but only with WLS have I truly been able to master the fall down, get up, move on move.

Studying doggy nutrition finally made the light bulb go on for ME-it's balance over time-not perfection every time.  DUH.

A nice chef'y meal does make me jealous though....but I will not begrudge it to you as I slink off to open a can of Fat Free Taco Bell Beans.

T, enjoy your carb fest. Isn't it great to be able to eat guilt free. Can't wait until I am there.
