One week from today!

Good morning guys!  When I got in the car this morning to come to work I looked at the clock and thought I could already be at the hospital next Monday at this time.  I don't know the time for my procedure yet, but am anxious for the time to get here.  I started on liquids yesterday.  We went to Six Flags on Saturday and walked and walked and walked.  I ate a very low carb meal for lunch, then had a protein bar while we were at the park.  That was it besides water and a glass of tea on the way home.  I thought I'd be down quite a bit.  Uh, NO!  so that spurred my decision to go on liquids yesterday.  Now to top off the worry about getting the weight off I have to worry about the weather also!  I can't win for losing!  LOL  Praying for nice weather and hoping the nasty freezing stuff holds off or doesn't come in at all next week.

Hugs,
Marsha

Well Marsha, i'm hoping for good weather to keep you on track!  Eat lots and lots of green beans, veggies and don't touch soda.....  it's gonna be rough, but you can do it!

Order the protein powder and get plenty of thin soups and other liquids that you know you will enjoy while being placed on the restrictive liquids diet.  Make sure to add miso soup to that list....  Miso adds a tiny bit of protein in the form of soy powder and it helps you retain fluids since it's salty and you'll want all of the fluids you can get just after surgery!

I'm excited for you!

I know that a kink in reaching your dream is hard, but remember roads can be sanded and quickly become passable when the sun comes up....The weather can also just never do what they say.....Like this week, first they had the Fearcast saying Ice all week long...Even that has changed for now.  Don't worry about it until it happens.
You are so blessed to have a date! Every newbie on here has been able to get a date, have their surgery and lose a 100lbs while I am still waiting on my date.  I have 1/2 my money in, met all requirements but one blood workup and the diet class which is tomorrow and still.....no date! I have been waiting on a date since Sept. I know it will be sometime after Jan 23 (due to Cardio's clearance) but I have all my weight off and am trying to maintain what I have lost....The Holidays are rough!
You are doing great!! You can do anything knowing it won't come back again....It will all fall into place for you. Relax and just know that everyone on here is praying for you and for a quick recovery.
Patience is not my best virtue, but I have learned a lot in my waiting process. I know my date is coming soon....I have watched so many here step into their new lives and I share in their joy, also knowing my time will come. Once I accepted that I had to wait until the end of Jan, I was ok because I know it will happen.  You know it will happen too...it will. Even if the weather prevents it for a day or so....It will happen.   You will be on your road to the new you before you know it!
Relax....It will be here soon!

Hang in there sweetie, it can only go our way..  The roads will be fine and hopefully we will get this darn weight off and not turned away by Dr B or Dr W... Hey guys!  I think being at work this week is going to help me keep my mind off of wanting food, and the wait.  I know the Oklahoma weather is never predictable, but this has really been a worry of mine all along.  It's just now that the forecast really shows next week, it makes it real! LOL  I appreciate all of your kind words, I'll try not to wig out on you guys, I promise!  LOL

I have had two protein (EAS) shakes and two bottles of water and a serving of sf jello.  I do worry about getting enough protein in during the liquid phase.  I was glad to see the scales down two pounds this morning, so that's encouraging.  Shelia, hopefully I will be getting out of the hospital the day of your surgery.  Good luck!

Hugs,
Marsha

Everything is going to be fine.  We're use to this Oklahoma weather and it doesn't really stop very many of us from doing what we want to do.  I KNOW it won't stop you from your WLS.  Don't cut back on your eating so much that your body goes into shock and hangs on for fear of starvation.  The agressive plan that the nutritionist gave me and others is awesome!  You feel like you're eating all the time but it is just spread out.  I had a shake in the morning, a protein bar mid-morning; their protein soup (in a package you mix with water); a bar mid afternoon; a shake for dinner and a shake for bedtime.  Along with all of this I had a minimum of 64 oz of water.  YOU CAN DO IT!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I just have so far to travel and coming from SE Oklahoma, we don't have the weather that you all have.  I was on my way to OKC last Dec. 22 and got caught in a snow storm up there.  I was a nervous wreck.  We're going up Sunday night, just so I don't have to worry all night whether we get there or not.  I don't mind driving a few miles in the stuff, but having to drive over 150 isn't my cup of tea.  LOL  Snow I can handle, but that silly ice that Oklahoma is so notorious for is another thing.  :)

As for the food, I have been on the Aggressive diet since Nov. 6, even more aggressive than most...and it has worked, but I'm still needing to lose a few pounds, so I'm doing liquids.  Eating or drinking rather, something when I'm hungry and it's ok.

Marsha

Hello ^^)/ May I ask what the aggressive diet contains? I haven't heard of it.

Hi, the aggressive plan is pretty much as Debbie (Fleemore) explained. This is a plan that your nutritionist at Weightwise will assign to you to help you lose the pre-op weight that you need to lose. Plans vary by individuals and how much weight you need to lose. In my case, I had to lose about 50 lbs and the aggressive diet consisted of 5 meal replacements and one meal made up of 5 oz of protein and non-starchy vegetables. The meal replacements consist of a combination of shakes, soups and nutritional bars. Just ask your nutritionist if you would benefit being on an aggressive plan. They are very good at helping you get the weight off.

The aggressive plan that I was on was an EAS protein shake for breakfast (6:30 a.m) a Zone protein bar (9:30 a.m.) 3 oz. lean protein, 1 cup non-starchy veggies (12:30 p.m)  Zone protein bar (3:30 p.m.) 3 oz. lean protein, 1 cup non-starchy veggies (7 p.m.) an EAS shake before bed.

The past week I substituted another EAS shake for the second meal.  That really helped me get to where I was going.
