ACK!  Don't tell me how cold it is going to be!!!  Let me just travel up there in my capris, ignorant of the fact...NONONONO!  I can't even wrap my mind around those temperatures after living in TX for 6 yrs...UGH!  Although, we did get snow on Friday (I think that was the day)...

Kerry, the hubby, already called to warn me to pack for the cold temps when we go up there this weekend.  I refuse to believe that it gets cold anymore.  I freeze my bulbous buttocks off if it goes below 60...HEEEEEEEELP!

Psst...if you hear a loud scream then a mighty crash, that would be my butt freezing off and plummeting to the ground...although, it doesn't have that far to fall nowadays, so that thud may not be as loud as I anticipate...

Hmmmmm... trying hard to imagine Just Janice with a set of bulbous buttocks.....nope - can't do it - HAG!!!

Anyway - I wore LINED wind suit pants, a turtleneck under a t-shirt (OU of course), 2 pairs of socks, my scarf and puffer coat and STILL FROZE MY A$$ off walking 40 yards to the freaking office door!!  Froze ALL day inside a big call center, then got to do it one more time on the way out the door!!!

I had on capris on Sunday - 70 degrees when I wandered inside a friends house - watched a movie and then 2.5 hrs later it was 45 degrees, another 2.5 hours later it was 25 degrees.  Welcome to Oklahoma Weather!!!  I have seen it rain, snow, sleet, thunder, lightning and the SUN SHINE all in one day!  I have been to an OU vs OSU football game where ALL of those things happened - AND OU WON too!  (slight jab at the Cowboy fans - Ice Bowl 85!!)

Welcome to Oklahoma girlfriend!!

Hey guys!  I hate cold weather!  I want it to be 80 degrees again!  Sunday was beautiful and this morning all the schools around us are closed, except us!  I drove 25 miles in and was the first one here...my principal called me twice thinking we were going to at least delay, but we didn't.  Regular start time, and it's pretty slick out there in places.

Fleemore, (sorry I can't remember your real name) I have BCBS of Texas as my insurance company.  The panniculectomy was covered by them.  I had it March 7, 2006, which was the Wednesday before our Spring Break.  I went back to work on Mondy after spring break.  I wasn't hunched over or anything, but didn't have any muscle work done either.  Just skin removed.  13 lbs. of skin to be exact.  I had it at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas and came home the next day.  When we got back to Durant, I walked around in Walmart to get my prescriptions filled.  My mother came to stay with me during the day, and my sister would come over in the afternoon after her school was over.  We'd go to Walmart just to walk around a bit.  I have a really high pain tolerance, so I'm fortunate.  Honestly though, there just wasn't that much pain.

Thanks Marsha.  I've heard horror stories about having to be off 12 weeks!!!  NO CAN DO in my business.  Besides that if it isn't covered by insurance then my short term dissability doesn't pay either.  Come to think though I believe the discussion I had regarding the 12 weeks was in regard to a 360 lift.  I'm hoping when it's time I can do a the panniculectomy at least.  I'm going to have serious skin issue I know that much.  I can live with the rest (I think for now anyway).  I never thought it would worry me as long as I could loose weight.  Things change don't they?  Good luck!

Just a thought...if when you have your surgery, are you planning to have anything else repaired, such as a hernia or anything of the like?  The reason why I ask is that if you are going in for something that is a medical necessity like that, it seems like they should give you your short-term benefits.  Also, even if insurance denies for some BS reason like a plan exclusion, even tho they can validate it as a genuine medical necessity, will your company allow for benefits paid out based on the validation of necessity, rather than benefits covered?  Just thinking out loud here...

I don't know of any hernia at this point.  I will have LOTS of questions concerning the short term dissability when that time comes.  It's probably going to be a year before I can get someone to do it for me anyway.  I still have some to loose (I probably have 30 pounds of panni to be removed).  Thanks, Janice
