Hmm, I wonder if we did this?

I read in the paper this morning that a soda can company in OKC is having financial difficulties because the demand for soda has dropped significantly.  Wonder if we, as a group of bariatric patients, is responsible for this???  OK, I know I am weird.  But I DO know that I drank a lot of diet coke pre-op- all in cans.

funny!!!  I know I used to buy 3 a day!

My family has definetely dropped a big amount not only am I not buying pops anymore for myself if I let the kids have any I buy one 2 liter and they have to make it last. Instead of the multi number of cans we would consume in a week.

I was a 2-liter gal so I can take any responsibility!  But I do sometimes miss the "nectar of the Gods"!

That is too funny.  I used to say the same thing "nectar of the Gods" about my beloved Diet Dr. Pepper. 

I am sure we are a big part of it-because I think overweight people tend to consume tons of sugar free diet cokes....I know I did.

I know I was a sodaholic. Lack of Diet Dr. P*pp*r = a bad sad mad day for me in the old days. I sure don't miss lugging in all those cans and 2 liter bottles of stuff that brought zero nutrition to me. Think of all the money we save!!!!!

I uused to fill the recycle bin, actually 2 of them....with Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper cans every week! I went cold turkey on them because I knew they were not in my future. I don't think I was actually addicted to the drink as much as I was addicted to the Bubbles!! I loved the carbonation!
It was that quick fix of bubbles that I loved and normally any flavor was ok with me. I did love the Dr. Pepper and the Fresca though.....I still am a month plus out and could have one... but noooooooo, I am being good!  Now the closest I get to bubbles, is the tub!!
I am glad we are doing our part to hault the use of cans and even liter bottles....Now we just add water bottles to the recycle bin!
