I hear what you are saying. Let's look at it like this. We are all walking a new path once we have WLS. The path is different and a little harder than the one we were walking. Sometimes we see what looks like a shortcut but we end up getting caught in thorns once we leave the path. Step back on the path with me and we'll walk together so we can avoid the thorns. We are stronger together!
You look amazing and are an inspiration to me. All you lovely ladies are my inspiration because you have walked the same path I have chosen and you show me how life is once the weight is gone.
Like I HAD a table?? I was afraid to stop moving since I had been awake since 3:45 am!! Jay was sitting like 10 feet in front of me when I was perched on Deb's chair arm goober!
See ya in a little while! I think I need a margarita!!

You are right. This journey is made a little easier by having all these friends who encourage us each and every day. They are here to aplaud our accomplishments, cry with us when we have problems and kick us in the behind when it needs doing. I truly do not regret this journey at all and would do it again in a heartbeat. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you on your journey to a new, healthy and hopefully less pain in your back life!!! I hope you will be able to join us at Abuelo's this evening for our meet and greet. It begins about 6:00 and we always have so much fun. We are glad to have you on board with us.

You have an awesome support system in your family - as well as in us - your new friends. Yes - sometimes we take a different path and get caught up in the brambles - but we can always turn around and start up a new path. There IS success in WLS - you have seen this with the room full of success stories last night. YOU will be one too! You have the right incentives and the right attitude to get you where you need to be!
I am back in the saddle myself - for the most part - I was having a personal drama myself over the past few days and it culminated last evening while I was at the party. I made it through and it can no longer have any control over me. Now if the headache from the stress will go away - life will be grand! LOL
Thank you for your words - sometimes I need to hear them as well. There are always going to be pot holes in our road to success but as everyone has mentioned - that is where our friends come in - to kick us or to pull us out of the holes.
As much as you think I am an inspiration - the feeling is mutual! I get as much back from everyone I help as I get in giving. It is what keeps me coming back month in and month out and reaffirms my committment to Drs Walton and Broussard. They are my angels and I credit them with giving me life. What I choose to do with it - well I must honor them and keep advocating for our fellow patients.
Keep moving forward - you are on the right path to success. We will ALL get you there!!

Michael, it was great meeting you last night! - I had to explain to my husband the muffin story.... since I guess he had talked to you and your Mom for a while, and when he told me I realized he was talking about you and I said "oh you mean Michael Muffin"!!
