Waaaay off topic - cashmere?

Is cashmere itchy or hot?  As in a cashmere sweater?

Neither, to me cashmere is like wearing a silk shirt.  Its soft and fairly light weight.

My experience with cashmere is that it sheds all over everything.  It's not hot and I don't remember it being itchy for me.  I just didn't like seeing the stuff all over my dark colored pants.

Same here I had a cashmere scarf one time and it shed all over everything.  I couldn't stand it so I threw it away.  Won't do cashmere.  Lisa

Not itchy, but does shed, and don't let it anywhere near your cat if you have one-the cat will claim it for their own.

I was given a cashmere sweater once that was worth several hundred dollars. It didn't shed at all. I then bought an affordable cashmere scarf and it shed like crazy. Big difference.
