I am just wondering what everyone's preference is....shots or sublingual. I have heard good about both and have one friend who does both. So what is your take on it?

Em,

I'm sure shots are more effective, but sublingual is easier for me to get my hands on...   I can't honestly tell a difference whether I take them or not.  If I'm on island, i take them 2x a day, but if I'm on another local island i forget about them...and honestly I cant tell the difference...  (my folks own pharmacies and  my dad can't tell the difference either...lol)

I haven't heard of B12 nasal spray. Is this something new? Where do you find it....I need the 4-1-1. Thanks.

I had the sleeve and am required 1 b-12 suglingual each week.  It's no big deal and tastes good. I will sometimes take 2 a week if I see them sitting there.

One of my buddies had RNY and she gets the b-12 shot once a month.  She says she feels tired and run down right before she's due the next shot.

I didn't help you, did I?  But, sadly, that's all I know!

I take one sublinqual B-12 per day.  I put it under my tongue to dissolve and it is one that actually tastes good.  No big deal and cheaper than shots or spray.  Dr. W won't do spray or shots just because you want them...at least not for me but the tablets are no big deal at all.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS.......I love the shots.  I get mine about every 3 weeks (if I wait 4 weeks I get really tired and worn out)  I am just not responsible enuf to take medication everyday.  I have a hard time trying to remember to take vitamins.

The best form is the one you will use.  You need to know your own personality to make that decision.  I use the sublingual tabs.  No big deal- except the remembering part!
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I did the shots first 3 mos along with my RX for Metanx (B12 in pill form). Since then, got okay from Dr to just do the Metanx, but I also use the sublinqual 3-4 times a week. It takes good and good for energy.

I agree that it needs to be one that works for you.
