Hair Loss - The Famous Question
I started Biotin pre-op and Nioxin about month 2 post-op. I have no idea if it helps but afraid to stop it. I really didn't want to be standing in the wig shop crying and wondering if I could have stopped the hair loss.
Hair loss is a great trade off for a smaller butt!

I just wacked all mine off and kept it short for awhile-I have thin fine hair and it looked really skanky a few years ago when I did the Medifast thing-so, off with my hair. When it would grow out and start looking thin, I'd just whack it back down to stubble again. Now it's growing out again and it doesn't seem quite so thin, so I'm going to let it grow a bit and see what happens.
Unfortunately, during the year of shortness it got quite a bit grayer, which has nothing to do with WLS and I'm hoping the sturdier grey hairs will give me body, but it was quite a shocker when I noticed it......I have several prematurely grey family members and I have always coveted their hair, so cross your fingers for a good grey crop for me!
My thyroid medicine was recently increased and my hair falls out while my body's adjusting to the new dose, so I'm hoping it'll stop before my surgery.
Okiechic, I know this isn't the same thing, but my Mom's hair grew back in not only curly, but also a different color of silver after the first time she had chemo. Maybe you'll get your wish!
My Grandma had the most beautiful White hair.....It was so pretty on her, but then she was 93. I don't want white hair at 57!! I always colored it with 3 different shades. Right now I see about 3 inches of grey and white, then beautiful highlights....I am using my money for all the extra costs of the surgery so highlights are not on my priority list....besides who sees me?? Right??
