Ok, so seriously, this is the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. Clear liquids for 2 WEEKS!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would go back through surgery, have a baby, take a beatin, LOL, anything to have this 2 weeks over!!

FYI- up and comming sleevers, get ready because surgery was nothing,(no pain, minimal soreness) it's this part that is the hardest, I promise!!

Not sure if this 14 pound loss is worth being this hungery.

When does grehlin leave??

Why am I having severe hunger pains??

Help!!! Anyone else feeling this way, or felt this way after surgery?

Thanks,
Amber

One of the things I did, seriously, was to go online and look at people who are truly starving-you are not starving, you are voluntarily with holding food in order to lose weight and become healthy.    I don't mean to diminish what you feel, but get a little perspective-you are LUCKY to be able to do this-there are lots of people who would give anything to be in your position, either too heavy and needing to lose a few, or working through the post op process.  Realizing how lucky you are might just take the edge off your hunger.

Time to pull on those big girl panties and struggle through!

Amber....

Head hunger.....it shall be your enemy for a long time.  i was one of the lucky few who beat it in a week or so.  Some people get sever nausea and have zero appetite, but then it comes back...like mine did...but for the others, the head hunger rules them for a short time..then it fades....then you have more power over it.  Did people go over the list of things you can never have again?

Anyway, I used a secret weapon against my hunger of food porn...lemme know if you want it...just PM me...

then when you get mushies, it will murder you again with boredom of soft foods...I've got another secret weapon...but for that one, you gotta wait... until you're bored of mushies....hehehe  but hey, you've got us to lean on...

OMG..I almost forgot!  FOOD PORN at night....ummm yea...see over here we don't have Taco bueno...or bell...or ANY tex-mex....  and we don't have SONIC over here...but we have satellite television and we get all of the fun filled fat people's choice in foods after the sun goes down..so my suggestion...if you're having hunger pains now...just wait till the latenight food porn comes on the TV....  turn it off....  turn it off....repeat....

When you get tired of suffering....give me a shout...

Amber,
I'm on my liquid diet...I'm fortunate not to have to be on clear liquids.  I'm having trouble getting all my calories in because I am overloading on sodium.  I'm using the dailyplate.com and it shows a lot that I didn't think about.  yesterday I got under 600 cals because I'm so worried about doing something wrong.  Well I've worked it today and by bedtime I'll have 1030 cals today.  I feel your pain!  I'm sorry you are having a hard time...but it will be over soon.  Thats what I keep telling myself.
I'm worried about my workweek and feeding all the kiddos!  I feed them breakfast, lunch and a PM snack plus I cook for my boys!

How are you doing with feeding your family?
I wish you luck!  I'll be sending up some prayers for you!
Hugs
Kim

Hi Kim,
I can't believe that your only a week away! If your doing great on liquids now, your going to do great, all the way!! Even though your having RNY, surgery isn't bad at all!! A lady that had it right next to my room, and I talked a lot, and your going to do great!!!

On feeding my family, my husband has always done all the cooking and I would do the clean up, so I have been very blessed to not have to deal with that. For right now, since I'm really weak in the mind with food, I go and sit in my bedroom and eat a jello, while they are eating.

Well, Talk to you soon,
Amber

I can't believe its only a week away either.  My son turns 9 on the 15th and surgery is the 16th.  I have lots to do to keep me busy!

You told me that your husband did all the cooking in a PM one time when we talked.  I just forgot!

I'm going to make some Jello tomorrow.  I forgot I can have that.  It sounds so yummmy!!!

I'm sure you will get through this and be just fine!  You're on the losin side now!
Hugs
Kim
