NOT THERE YET>>>>>AAAAGH

My size 12 Old Navy Jeans fit, but the size 12 Levi's I just bought do not-and the Levi's were the goal-so I have some more miles to go-and I'm really OK with that.  My body seems to want about 1200 calories a day, so whatever weight it settles on at that amount will work for me too.

Patricia (my riding instructor) has said that regular riding will redistribute things too-but people are usually pleased with they way that goes.  I'm also going to make a concerted waist line/abdominal effort and when the the Levi's zip up nicely I'll make a final decision on the tummy tuck issue.  Next to working the upper body, the waist is my least favorite-Ok, let's face it, I like cardio and leg work but woman does not live by legs alone.

Glitter, I saw Turkey neck on myself this morning-eeeeek, so I need to be more diligent with moisturizer.  I'm the lazy girl-I just use my face crap on my neck and decola ....uh, upper chest.

The really cool thing for me is this feels like fine tuning.  Even 6 months ago I would have had the all or nothing mentality that said "You can't zip those Levi's......you suck big time" so I think my work on being nicer to myself is showing some progress too.   For me, jeans are the ultimate test, not a bathing suit-because I love the water so much I couldn't care less what I look like the minute I dive in.

Of course, now I'm off for my riding lesson and as soon as I see that horse I tend to not care about what I look like either....LOL.  Body dysmorphia has its advantages.

Debra,

I'm not the smartest guy around and I "thought" that I knew the name of every English named part on a female's body, but alas, i was wrong....  what the heck is a "decola" ??   Is that the area where cleavage is best viewed?  If so, then i know the place well...   If not, then I'm lost.....

Damn you and your confusing body-parts names....hehe...

Anyway, WOW size 12 woo hoo!  Am so proud of you.  You know I love seeing great people do great things in their life!

ahhhh....now you've got me to thinking about cleavage and stuff....  ahh the fun....

Hi, Thomas.
Since Debra is riding a horse, I'll answer for her. The word is "decolletage," of French origin, and it refers to a woman's cleavage. The original use was to refer to the plunging neckline of a dress, which would "showcase" cleavage.
Why do I have a feeling I've just fed your thoughts. ;)
Blessings,
Mary

Thomas,
You ARE a wildman and we love you that way!  I get tickled at your stories and wild life.

Deb,
Please report back after your riding lesson. I am enjoying your animal adventures. Today is a beautiful , crisp December day with plenty of Oklahoma sunshine ...great for riding a horse.

Deb,
speaking from the same boat as you except my size thing is bigger..lol I will say this if you do the tummy tuck thing you will be so surprised how small your waist will become.
I am dealing with buyers not remorse but confusion. Before the tt I knew what size I was going into. Now I am so confused about sizes. I lost 32 pounds in surgery and God only knows how many inches so clothes dont fit me at all.
I agree with your instructor, when I use to ride I was better toned in shape. I loved the boucing up and down but now....lol with my tt I dont think I would enjoy it as much....will explain if you want in a private email...

Thomas, I'm glad Mary squared you away on the cleavage thing.  After my ride I went truck trading, so I'm just now getting in....

Today's lesson was awesome-I learned to adjust my stirrups and tighten my girth WHILE SITTING ON THE HORSE'S BACK......I didn't even know that was possible, learned more about proper hand position, how to care for tack....it was great.

Currying the horse and carrying saddles around was a good upper body workout.

Then I went and made an pretty nice truck deal-the Jeep is now an F150 with towing package (not new, but nice) so that I can pull my travel trailer without ripping the guts out of the Escape.....I was with the guy when he checked the specs and the Escape IS rated to pull the trailer-but the performance while doing so doesn't make me feel good about doing it......so the jeep that was formerly a motorcycle is now a towing truck and the Escape is not in danger of losing its guts. (And if I ever want to tow a small horse trailer, I can.....just saying)

So, I got up this morning-worked the dogs, drove out around 9 30, rode, played with horses, ran around a truck lot and got in about 8-and I'll go out and work moon again.....I am tired, but I would have been dead tired and unable to go on by about 2:00 this time last year..... I'm digging this new body.

I really don't dig my turkey neck.  My sister even brought me an article from Preventon magazine tonight about some kind of "miracle" cream.  Urghh!  Don't think that exists but I keep hoping...!

Glitter-are you finding a new thing to "hate" about yourself since your bum is so much smaller?  Learning not to be so critical of ourselves takes practice (and believe me, I'm still practicing).
