It's feels really good to be strong... Kids and I went swimming this evening and after swimming we went to Subway.. Well, I am a die hard fan for the Itialian Herb and Cheese Bread.. Well not tonight.. I turned it into a salad with NO BREAD.. Even the kids had left overs and I wrapped them back up to bring them home and didn't have one bite, nibble, lick, taste or anything..

Do you know how hard it is to walk into Subway and smell their fresh baked bread?  OMG! it smells so good in there.. But I am deteremined and I refused the bread.. Oh it was have been so simple to order a sub fully loaded on bread, but nope.. I had Chris telling me in the back of my mind to put in a a bowl.. Oh she wuold be so proud of me.. Guess, I have kuddos to share with her next Wednesday..

Thanks for all of your support and letting me share.

Try walking into Wal-Mart the DAY you go home from surgery to get your perscriptions filled and walking past the SUBWAY on the way in the door.  I about wanted to die.  Mom handed me the keys to her truck and said "Get your butt back out to the truck now!!!"

Way to goooooo!!!  Good for you!   . . . . . .
I love subway too!

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." Erma Bombeck

I'm a freak-I like smelling the bread even though I don't eat it.

Sheila,
Subway is the only fast food place I go to.
I only get a mini whole wheat toasted sub...either turkey, tuna. I got one of their nutrition guides and followed what Is fat free and healthy so..on my sub I always get banana peppers, pickles, little lettuce and fat free italian unless its the tuna then only the first two...I use to be able to eat a footlong all the way so for me the mini does the trick. And sometimes I get a six inch and have two meals from it....Just remember this a salad can be just as fattening as having the bread...
BTW the subway at 50 and portland only uses low fat mayo in their salad meats....
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Sheila, that was my biggest weakness before surgery. I could eat fresh bread alone as a meal! I really thought it would be very hard to not have it after surgery and surprisinly its the easiest thing to give up!  GOOD JOB on keeping strong!  Still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you get your last few pounds off and get that date!

That is a huge accomplishment!  Bread is one of my biggest downfalls.  Stay Strong because you are doing Awesome.
