I have a new love of beans now too! I usually have a small wedge of cornbread with it too.

I find I can eat the cornbread really well when I soak it in a cup of milk! Almost like a dessert to me.

I have found that RanchStyle Beans makes a Pinto Bean that tastes just like the ones I make and cook all day. I don't have to cook them all day and you don't have a ton left over. I I use their regular RanchStyleBeans to put in Chilie. They have a little of a spicy taste....the pinto are just good!
I made a pot of Navy beans with the ham bone left over from Thanksgiving. It wasn't enough to share with both of my daughters and their families, so I threw in 2 cans of the Pinto beans and a can of black beans and let them all cook together a bit after the navy beans were done...They were great! The girls didn't know I had added canned beans to the cooked all day ones and everyone had a great bean supper. It's so nice when I  cook up a pan of corn bread and send it all away except one slice....I get my cornbread and so do they. Not to mention....supper is cooked when they come home from work!!

I have navy beans in the freezer and just bought some dried garbanzo's and some yellow peruvian beans that look yummo-I'm the bean queen.  I even like beans for breakfast with a little sugar free maple syrup on them (that's a family trait).  My father likes beans on pound cake.

Debra, I  havent tried any other kind of beans.... U should send me a message telling me how you cook yours and I might just have to try them for myself. I dont like spicy food though so keep it on the low! I am a wimp, black pepper burns my tongue!
