Today I was honored for 20 years of court reporting at the Corporation Commission. No, I didn't get a gold watch, just a pin with 20 on it (But a girl can't ever have too much jewelry.) But, I'm not sure who posed for that picture with my bosses. I don't recognize it as me !! I would swear it was my mom about 35 years ago if I didn't know better !!! OH NO !!! We really do become our moms !!! Check it out ;-)

Lynette, you look beautiful! You need to put a headshot of you from that picture on your avi. Did I know you are a court reporter, or did I just forget? Knowing me, it's the latter. Anyway, my father, even though officially retired, is a free-lance court reporter. He used to own Ray Swartz & Associates (court reporters), with offices in Charleston, SC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Columbia, SC; and Savannah, Georgia.
I am going to shamelessly ask you a question. Do you use or need a proofreader? I'm trying so hard to find proofreading jobs, to help make ends meet. I'm an excellent proofreader. As a retired English teacher, I should be! :)
If you know of anyone who could use a proofreader, I'm your girl. What an answer to prayer that would be!
