I'd be happy to buy some venison from anyone who has some they'd like to part with.  I'd really be happy to buy the tongue and organ meats that you don't want.....I'm now on a holistic dog food feeding kick.

Call me blondie, holistic dog feeding kick?  I dont get it!

And I am assuming that you are wanting this for the animals.  My DH isnt gonna get to hunt this year but my boys have been going with their dad to no luck so far this year!!!!

I could live on Venison year round.  Well that was before WLS not so sure tummy would approve now.

Good luck and hope you get some this year.  Meat that is... Ummm Venison  :)

Well, the organs are for the dogs, but the meat is for me....LOL.  I hope I get some too....meat, uh, venision.

I just want to feed less processed food and kibble and more meats without growth hormones, etc.  Dogs actually thrive on the parts of the animal we don't eat (at least in the US).  For the cost of a "premium" can of dog food that wouldn't feed my entire crew, I can buy a pound of Turkey livers-and it's better for them.

My Mom is kind of flipping (she's a food control freak) about feeding "human food" to dogs, even though I've explained to her it's cheaper than buying "dog food".  The old thinking about table scraps being bad for dog came about when table scraps were all fried, processed, bready stuff-MY table scraps are all organic, low fat, etc...

I've been watching costs and monitoring how the dogs are doing to see if I could start a small home business delivering home made dog food-but I'd only want to do it if I could make something that was truly good for the dogs with a fair profit.

I want to show Moon, so he needs to have a splendid coat and good muscles, etc, but if he eats good stuff the other's have to as well because it's not fair....so I'm getting a whole backyard full of splendid coats.

I'd also go for beef lamb or chicken-but it has to be slaughtered down to manageable hunks and no fur or feathers-there's a limit to my carving ability.
