Will I ever make it through the pre-op diet????

I am on this diet 100% with walking 2-3 miles daily and I haven't seen a change since last weigh in..  At this point I am getting very fustrating and truthfully feel like not eating.. Water and tea is all I have been doing..  Chris said if I was within 5 pds of my required 36 I could get a date.. but honestly I don't see that happening any time soon.. I have the $$$ ready to right them a cash check, 100% cleared and my weight is working with me...  Yes, I am venting, fustrated, angry, want this before the new year but don't know what to do....

Any suggestions tips, starving myself, I have never not eaten like this before and I can't believe my weight is holding on.. When I went to the support meeting, everyone basically said pre-op diet was the worst.. Well, I 100% agree with them..

Thanks for letting me vent..

Sheila

Breathe !!!  Just stay the course.  It will fall off.  You're body is just adjusting and will let go soon !!!  DO NOT STOP EATING !!!  That will make your body think it's starving and you can actually gain water weight because it's scared !!!  Just keep doing what Chris tells you to.  She has helped a bunch of us get there and she hasn't lost one of us yet !!

Lynett is exactly right.....EAT.  The nut knows what they are talking about.  She helped me get mine off pretty quickly.  I felt like I was eating all day long and wasn't hungry either.  You MUST eat for your body to let go.  Write down everything you are suppose to eat for the day and then check it off.  You'll eat at breakfast, mid-morning, noon, mid-afternoon, dinner and bedtime.  Drink drink drink....too!!!  YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!  I KNOW YOU CAN.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Sheila,

Lynette and Deb have it just right - as usual.   Follow the instructions from the folks at WeightWise and keep on pushing the water.  I found it very helpful on the pre-op diet to journal EVERYTHING that went into my mouth so I could be absolutely sure of what was going on.  I used www.thedailyplate.com for mine and found it very easy.  I also found out at one point I was only eating about 750 calories a day and my body was definitely holding on to every pound it could to stave off the starvation I threatened it with.  Once I got back up around 1000 to 1200 calories a day, and kept up my water and exercise, some of the LB's finally let go.

Also, keep in mind - pre-op and post-op, our bodies do have to re-adjust as we lose weight.  Just keep following the plan - it will work for you.  It worked for the rest of us.  I also agree - the pre-op diet was much worse than anything I've been through in the last 6 months since surgery.

Best wishes,
John

Sheila....

Remember, if you truly get frustrated, I've got my diet plans but they aren't for the meek.....  I've busted more than 50 people's stalls and I have results by week 2, so if you want the help, I'm more than happy to help you along.... to pull off about 40 lbs takes about one month and a week....it's very difficult to handle it though...so just think about it....let me know...

Sheila, I am so sorry you are having such a rough time with this. I know you have had alot of stress to go with it and that can't help. I agree the preop is hard...very hard. I still don't have a date either, but am hoping soon I will have it and can look forward to it.
I too know how it is to have the money in your hands....ready to hand over, and yet nothing works out as quickly as we want it to....'Don't give up! You can do this...Listen to Lyn and Deb on this...I will tell you also. Don't skip eating. I am losing because I am eating. I used to never lose by skipping meals....I tried and tried. It is strange but your body does shut down....
We are here to vent with you....and we will give you a big kick in the big girl panties if you need it...but don't give up!! It will work!

I feel for you!  I know how frustrating it is to try to lose weight!  But it sounds like you got some really good advice so use it and get busy with it g/f!

Good luck!  Call me if you need to talk!

I'm frustrated too!!  I followed the first diet plan to a T and actually gained a pound.  I'm following the second, but I've been sick and not able to exercise like I want to.  Also I've been taking the meds for stupid H. pylori and they make me feel crappy.

So I hear ya Sheila!  I'm just at a loss as to how this I'm gonna lose 25 more pounds.
