I am finally starting soft foods on Monday. I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things extra. On the cottage cheese thing, what things can I do to spruce up the cottage cheese. I have never really been a cottage cheese eater, so not sure about different kinds of ideas to make it taste better and do something different with it.

I have seen the ladies talking about adding some spagettii sauce to it,  I add salt and pepper,  and a touch of salsa to just add some flavor.  Maybe some unsweetened applesauce as well.

If you want something like a dessert add some s/f coolwhip and to it and a dry pkg of s/f jello.  Mix it up and refrigerate it about an hour.  Its good that way too!  I love it!
I hope you are doing well!

Hey Kim!!! I am doing good, thanks for asking. On the cottage cheese thing, how much cottage cheese would you add to just a reg small box of jello? This sounds interesting also

La Detra,
When I mix mine I make a whole batch with a large container of cottage cheese and a regular container of s/f coolwhip and a packet of s/f jello.  It will keep in the fridge for a few days.  It doesn't last that long around here because my son loves it!  You can even add some pineapple too it when you can eat it.  (Drain it WELL)  You can just make individual everytime by just sprinkling the jello over the coolwhip and add cottage cheese.  I never use recipe's.  I just do what looks good.
I hope you like it!  We really like it here!
I'm glad you are doing well.

Could you add a little sugar free jello powder to it?  I haven't had surgery but I like that.  donna

Hi,

I just add a little dash of pepper to it to zip it up a bit.  But, I was reading about those folks who add salsa and that sounds really good.  I am for sure going to give that a try!
