Tues., 12/02, Wt. Wise, Anyone?

Hi, Everyone.
I am riding with my daughter and her teacher friend to Edmond, on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Their first appointment is at 8 a.m., and the last appointment is at 3:30. Other than my one-hour one-on-one 2-week post-op diet class at 1:00, I will have NOTHING to do. The girls want to go out for lunch after all their appointments, which will be fun. It will be my first day on "mushies," so I can get some creamed soup or cottage cheese or refried beans or something lighter, if I'm even hungry.
I would love to see any of you. I'm sure most of you work, so it may not be possible, but I thought I'd "put it out there." It's hard for me to get to Edmond for support group, since it makes for such a late night. I can't drive on my own, so I have to depend on my husband, and he's always so tired at the end of the day. Bless his heart.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, that you didn't gobble 'til you wobbled, and that you're having an awesome weekend.
Blessings,
Mary

Mary,
It sounds like you are doing really well.  I'm happy for you.  I will be in OKC on Dec 3.  I have to go for my scope.   We are going to spend the night and I have my pre-op apt the next day and my gall bladder ultrasound and my nutrition class.  I asked them to schedule as many at one time as possible.  Hopefully the next time I have to drive back to OKC will be on DEC 16 for my surgery.

I hope you get to meet up with someone to spend some time visiting.  I would be there if I could.  I would love to meet you!  Maybe one of these days!

Take care of yourself and have fun!
Hugs
Kim

Hi, Kim.
Thanks. I'm excited for you, too. The staff at Weight Wise is always so helpful, to schedule as much as possible on the same day. I'm glad your surgeon's staff does, also. It does help.
We'll meet, one day. :)
Blessings,
Mary

That would be fun. Are you able to drive to Weight Wise, though? I'm unable to leave, to drive anywhere. If so, great. Just let me know a time to expect you upstairs. If not, I understand. :)
Blessings,
Mary

I have been driving for awhile now. I will need directions to Weight Wise though as I used a different doctor in Norman but would still like to meet others from the site.

Oh, girl, I am directionally challenged, and I'm fearful that I would direct you right on into Kansas! I would suggest that you visit www.mapquest.com, and you can put your home address in the "From" section and "1800 S. Renaissance Blvd., Edmond, OK" in the "To" section. It will give you a map and written directions. Also, the Weight Wise web site at www.weightwise.com has a place for directions. When you get to the Foundation Bariatric Hospital, the hospital part is on the main floor, and the Weight Wise part is on the 2nd floor. You take the elevator to the 2nd floor, and you'll enter the Weight Wise lobby. That's where I'll be. :)
If you're gamed, what time might you show up?

Mary, I have all my pre-ops scheduled on Tues 12/2 at WW!  My first appt there is at 7:50, then 8:10, 8:30, 9:30, 11.   I would LOVE to get together with the girls!  Amy is not able to come with me and I am totally clueless about driving in OKC.  I got into town yesterday, surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. I am so looking forward to meeting you on Tuesday.  When will you get there?

Hi, Camille.
I'm so excited to get another "taker." :)  My daughter, friend, and I should get to Wt. Wise about 7:45, as one of the girls has an appointment at 8:00, if I recall. The last appointment is at 3:30, so I'll be there all day, until as late as 4:30. Your appointments will go fast, but perhaps we can catch a few words in between. Wow! Pre-op appointments on Tuesday and surgery on Wednesday. What a wonderful whirlwind! You're going to do great. I'm sure Amy will be with you on Wednesday. I bet it's been so helpful to have a sister who's been through it already. Congratulations on getting to this point. I'm so happy for you. See you Tuesday!
Blessings,
Mary
