HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Dear Okie Buddies,
I hope each of you have had a wonderful holiday. We certainly were blessed beyond measure with the gift of Steve's transplant and are grateful beyond words to the family *****alized the need by others for their loved ones organs. I saw a beautiful sentiment written on a board while at the U of MI. It simply said, "Dont take your organs to Heaven with you......Heaven already knows we need them down here."
My special prayer now is for the donor's family who was so gracious and generous and were able to think of others, particularly at such a sad time in their lives. Will you all please remember them and the others like them who give so much so other's may have life?
Steve is doing beautifully - he is like a whole diffferent person. That stinker was actually chasing me around the house today! Only down side is that one of his anti-rejection drugs causes BIG moods swings and we never can even see them coming. Hopefully, he will be able to come off this nasty drug in a year or so. Until then we all just must learn to hang in there. It is really kinda hard at times. Oh well.....
Thank you all for being the precious people you are. I will forever hold a place in my heart for each of you.
