Pre-op Nutritionist Pow-Wow...what to expect?

In my opinon of where I was when i started, I have done astounding things on the way to getting qualified for the surgery with Dr. Gornichec. I now meet with another nutritionist tomorrow.

I am doing things now, diet-wise, that I didn't think I could ever do. I know she is probably gonna set in stone the ground rules for the 10 day pre-op deal.

What has been your experience in these meetings? I like to kind of always have a fore-knowledge of what I am getting into, but I have not been able to nail this one down through research.

Appointment is tomorrow (11-25 / NOON) so if ya drop a line before then, that would be cool.

I appreciate all the experiences you members are posting with the different surgeries you have had.

Just wanted to wish you luck-I'm not a Gornichec patient, so I can't really give a briefing, however I am sure it will be informative-be sure and ask questions and for clarification of anything you don't understand.  That is what they are there for.

I didnt use the same doctor but our second pre-op with the NUT was going over the differences in a protien meal replacement and a protien suppliment, they laid down exactly what was alowed on the 10day diet as well and the various steps for recovery after. Each doctor is different but I would say most would cover the same kind of information, we also covered what vitamins and such to get. Dr. Keith rocked at they also gave us a booklet that cronicled every step of the surgery day. From checking into the hospital thru discharge so you knew what to expect.
