i must definitely be the only person that can have surgery on their one year anniversary and the same thing happened that happened last year..well almost..lol
I am happy to say my JP tubes drains are gone and all staples have been removed.
But
And if you know me you know that was coming..
I have a huge pocket of old blood in my lower abdomen and that is  easing out of me plus it seems I have another pocket near the tummy tuck incision so today I got the pure pain of having staples removed and my ouch es packed with that long packing string.Talk about pain!
I go back next week and PRAY that the infection is gone.

See Pattye, with you there is always a BUTTT!
J/k I do hope you are better soon!  I know you have been down for a while!
Christmas is a month away, of course you will be better and be home!
How is your Butt anyway?  Better I hope!
Hugs to you!!!

Bless your heart, Pattye. I had to do that "long packing string" thing some years ago, after breast surgery. Nasty infection; painful "cure."  Try to think positively, though, and our prayers will be added to yours, that this WILL resolve in time for you to go home for Christmas.

Good grief I hate to even tell this story (after the foot falling off thing) but I had to have a deviated septum fixed and they packed each nostril with about 3 feet of gauze......it was soooooo gross-but even grosser still, I bled and oozed for like 5 weeks afterward-so I had to wear a Nose Diaper (pad taped across my nose) so I could work without bleeding on the computer...
