For over two weeks my laptop has been sitting there looking at me. My dsl modem died again so when I tried to hook up the router it said no connection. I tried and finally said to heck with I will use the desktop...which I hate.
Last night I had to go to the er for some bleeding from the bottom incision and when I got home around 12 pm....(btw never go North on 35 after a OU game). I decided that the router was not going to win over me....

Well it kinda beat my tush so this morning I went at it again and WALLLA I am wireless on my laptop.....
To bad some one did not write in the pamplet when you change modems your ping address has to change....

Hi, Pattye.
Okay, your post is Greek to me (which I don't know, of course), but I get that you got your laptop to work, so I'll smile and say, "Congratulations!" :)
Blessings,
Mary

Slightly better...but only slightly (modem? router?). Don't feel you have to explain, dahling, because I'm perfectly content in being technologically-challenged. I do just a few things on a computer, after having been given step-by-step instructions, and that's just dandy with me. :)

When I switched laptops my new one "saw" the wireless router, and asked for a password....and I gave it the only one I knew.......after a week or so I learned the router has it's own "secret password" written on the bottom of the stupid thing.   Sheeesh.  When I feel brave I'm going to try to hook the wii up to the router.

Deb I had to reset the dang thing then ping the site and I found out my PING number was different and thats why I ws not recognized..LOL  the only god thing about being single is this when it comes to electronic gadgets its so much easier to figure them out then having a man do it..At least we (ie women) do read the instructions...

I hope your bleeding problem is better too.  What did they say at the hospital?
Take it easy g/f!  Don't be up messing and routing.  Rest!
