WE'RE HOME FROM "TRANSPLANT CITY" AT THE U OF MI!
Hey Dear Friends,
My DH was discharged today from the hospital - just 11 days post-op with his new liver! He is doing really well despite his one complication that required an additional surgery. The average transplant patient stays for 14-21 days. So he is ahead of the "game." Monday he returns for the first of his weekly clinical checkups and of course - more lab work. It's a 135 mile trip each way but after his "rebirth" (he feels he has been given a whole new life) and has, we are happy to have to make these trips. Eventually, if everything goes well, we will only have to travel back to Ann Arbor every two weeks. And the trips will decrease in frequentcy from there. Good things gas prices are down right now! :)
Both of us owe all of you a debt of gratitude for all your support, prayers, and thoughts. It made all the difference! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I hope to be visiting the board more often now to see how you all are doing and I will definately keep you updated on Steve's progress as well.
Thanks again.

Precious news! What a gratitude-filled Thanksgiving you and your family will have! It was a pleasure to pray in Steve's new liver and pleading for preservation of it. Thanks for letting us know, Pam. Much love being sent your way.
Blessings,
Mary
