Home from Hospital and doing Great
I finally got to come home from the hospital yesterday and I feel great. I am still taking IV antiobiotics at home for 2 weeks as well as 1/2 day of TPN. My energy level is so much better and I can't believe how easy it has been to eat after all of that time without. I'm still on the mushies but boy do they taste good. I have only had one minor bit of nausea and haven't had too much trouble getting my fluids in. It has been a very long road but I feel safe to say I am on my way. Thanks to everyone who gave me encouragement and prayers. My leak is completely closed and the air bubbles in my abdomen reabsorbed so I am good to go.
That is a tough question. I would have to say yes, but that does not mean that I have not been ticked off at him from time to time during this mess. He is very demanding and pushy about coming to FBH anytime you are sick and that is where we had some problems. We did work through them though and if I were to make any recommendations to anyone it would be to research how your insurance will pay for any possible complications you might encounter. I ended up at FBH 3 times in the ER and a 10-day stay that my insurance will not pay for. That made it very difficult for both Dr. B. and I. He has since realized that and has worked with me long distance more and that has made my life a lot easier. I hope that answers your question.
