Well, I had my appointment with the coordinator today.  I have all of my testing set up.  I go Tuesday for my EKG, echocardiogram, stress test, and labs.  Then on December 5th, I do my psych eval, December 17th is my sleep study.  After she gets the results from the psych exam, she will send that in to the insurance, as she said this is all they require her to actually send in.  She said depending on how long the insurance takes, I could see surgery as early as December 29 or 30th or the first week in January.  I hope it's in January :) Would be a great way to start off the New Year.  I think my nutritionist appointment will be right before surgery.  So, that is a little down the road.   Wow! I can't believe it might be fairly soon.  :)

Just had to share.  Thanks for reading.

It's exciting to get each item checked off the list of pre-op requirements, isn't it. Congratulations on being close to your new life. :)
Blessings,
Mary

Oh my goodness, yes.  I will admit when I first walked in.  There was a moment or two of thinking.  I could just walk right out and just forget it.  But then, I thought why in the world would I want to do that and continue this constant battle on my own.  My hubby was there with me and he was wonderful.  Neither of us had had much sleep, as we both work nights.  But, I am really looking forward to getting everything done.  I just wish the sleep study could have been a little sooner.  I am just wondering now how much my copay will be for the sleep study.  They told me they would call me 2 days before it to let me know how much it will be.

Thank you so much for the encouragement :)

You'll do great. I am not quite 2 weeks out and am already feeling very good about the decision I made. I went back at 9 days out to check my g-tube and had already lost 13 pounds from the morning of surgery. Yeah! It is so worth it!
