I emailed medicare today about filing a claim on my own for the nutritionist since they won't take my medicare. Medicare told me that they won't cover it since they are not affiliated with the hospital. So, I called the surgeon and told them I had to see someone that was affilated with the hospital and would take my medicare. Now everything is moved back and my surgery will definittely be after the first of the year. I will see the nutritionist at St Francis on Dec 31  and the surgeon on January 6th. Wish I didn't have to move it all back like that but I just don't have $160.00 lying around to pay the nut. But, I believe that this will all be in God's timing and it is working out perfectly.

Emily, sorry that it looks like your surgery is going to be pushed back, but believe me it will be here before you know it.  Don't let this get you down.  It's all going to work out.  Lisa

I'm sorry you have to move it back too but at least you know before hand what it takes to get them to pay.  I'd be doing the same thing if I were you.  I just know from the get go that I was self pay.  We have to do what we have to do.  Good luck!!!  You're day will be here before you know it.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I know it is nto your timetable but it may be for the best in the long run.  This way you will feel good during the holidays.  Then, durign the quiet times in January or February you can have your surgery and get well in peace.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Emily!
I'm sorry your surgery has been moved back.  I know how disapointed you must be.  It will be here in no time though!  I know I would be sad if mine is moved.  But like you said its all God's plan!  When he wants it to happen it will!
Hugs!
Kim
