My surgery date has changed!!

  I feel a little upset. My surgery was suppose to be scheduled for November 26, and was given to someone else. So, my surgery is now December 1. Anyone having surgery this day in Edmond? I was hoping to have a friend that was I could walk the halls with, and now I am a little bummed! Ugh!!!

What a bummer... I didn't realize you already did all of your pre-op stuff.. Wow~~ You did move right along.. Don't be bummed, Dec 1 will be here before y ou know it.. I don't have a date scheduled yet, just working on my pre-op weight loss..

I'm sorry this has happened. I understand your disappointment. I believe that everything happens for a reason. If your surgery date changed, there was a reason and Dec. 1st will be a better date for you. You may never know the reason why, but just trust that it's true. Keep busy with others things, and the time will fly by.

Thanks for the encouraging words Mary! The more I think about it the more I look at the brighter side, that I will be able to cook Thanksgiving for my family and bake cookies with my kids. When Cheryl told me this today, I said ok God, I had everything planned, but your right...it's for a reason! Thanks again for being so sweet!

See how good God is? He cares about every little thing, even that it's important for you to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving and bake cookies with your children. How precious is that. :)

Hi Amber!  I can imagine how disapointed you are.  I'm so sorry!  But like you said, its for a reason!  Baking cookies with your kids is important too!  Dec 1 will be here before you know it!

I know you're dissappointed but hey...it's only 4 days and you get to enjoy that long weekend with the kiddos!!!  They'll be grown and gone soon enough and won't want to bake cookies with Mom.  At least by having it on Dec 1 you'll have them in school and have the day quiet for you while you re-cooperate!!  I have learned over the years to just try to look for the good in everything...there is always a reason for when and why things happen!!!  Take care and just know December 1st is just around the corner.  What an awesome Christmas to yourself.

Oh Amber, I'm so sorry!         I just sent you an email before I came here to the board and read this.  It won't change your disappointment, but at least maybe now I'll be able to visit & I promise to walk with you around the halls. 

Selfishly, I'm wondering a little about my own surgery now????  I haven't heard anything from them, but I know when they booked my date (the 24th) that it was already crazy-busy that day.  I'm anxious to hear what time they put me in and when I should arrive.  I've made several arrangements for that day, so I hope I don't get bumped.  If I do....I'll try to follow your lead and have a positive attitude about it all.  ((((Hugs))))

Amber, I am so sorry to hear you got bummed news.  But this is easier said then to believe sometimes but everything does happen for a reason. We dont always see the reason til later down the road but believe as I do, he has you in his hands and he does know whats best and when the right time if for your surgery.  Hang in there Dec 1 will be here before you know it. and in the mean time ENJOY Thanksgiving!
