Odd NSV- MRI tube is a much easier fit!

I spent a VERY long time in an MRI tube today.  I fit with room to spare!  The last time I had an MRI I was almost too big to fit.  I had to have a couple of MRIs on my painful right hip.  I was in the MRI machine for a little over 3 hours!  Good grief, I wasn't warned I would be there forever!  One of the views had me lying on my side.  I was totally shocked that I would fit while up on my side.  The tech even said I had some room to spare!!!  Amazing!
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I'm sorry you had to have an MRI AND be in it for so long, but it's a good thing that you were able to fit in it, with room to spare. I hope you get the answers you need from the test. Take care.
Blessings,
Mary

Cool!  I've only ever had a knee done-didn't take that long but I really didn't like it and I don't think I have claustrophobia but who knows.

I am going to start focusing on things to improve balance/gait, etc. because I know my limp is going to catch up with me some day with back/knee problems if I don't.  Let me know if you need one of those big blow up core balls, I ended up with two (long story).  YOu can also try my wobble board if you want.  I can do it-but I don't really like it so I'm going to put a plank on it and use it for a dog wobble board (they are younger and can stand the strain better than me).

Yeah!!!  I will be having an MRI soon myself.  When I was at the doctor I told her I HAD to have the open MRS...thinking I wouldn't fit.  I still am going to try for that one just in case I have a 3 hour experience like you.  I'll have it for my right hip, lower back and neck from my accident I was in about 3 weeks ago.  (rear ended)  I doubt I would have room to spare in a regular MRI tube right now and don't want to find out so I'll go the open route if possible.  I hope you get good news and are "fixable"!!!  You're are looking absolutely awesome!!!  "LOOK OUT LADIES...SHE IS COMPETITION"!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Yay on the NSV!!!! But three hours? What happens if one is claustrophobic? Do they let you do an open MRI?
