Finally Good News!!

I had another CT today and the leak is finally completely closed and the air bubbles that were there last week are gone!!  Woo-hoo...  And the best part is I can move to mushies in the next few days and may be able to eat a little bit of real food for Thanksgiving.  I am a very happy camper right now. 

I also am currently not hooked up to any food or antibiotics, so for an hour or so I'm free!!  We are still trying to figure out what type of bacterial infection I have and whether or not they are going to remove my PICC line but I am optimistic.  If they do, then I won't be able to do TPN (nutrition) so that means pouchie had better do well with food and water.  I don't know when I will get to leave the hospital but at least I'm finally getting somewhere.

I just had to share my good news with my extended family. 

Good for you!  Hopefully this is the end of the months of nightmare!

Congratulations on getting that leak all closed up.  It seems like you've had an awfully tough road so far, but your spirit just keeps on shining through.

Yes!!  That is awesome news!!  I like your new picture, you have lost a bunch of weight!  I think this is the turning point that you have been waiting for.  I believe your healing will speed right along now.  In a few months this will be a distant memory.  I can't wait to see the good things waiting for you around the corner!  I believe 2009 will be your year girl!
