Weird Wow Moment

Remember, I favor my right leg because it's been banged up so much, so most of my exercise is biking, walking, NEVER running, never impact.
But, Friday morning the stars aligned-My father was trying to help so he brought the trash can up from the curb (but the truck hadn't run yet). By the time I realized what was going on I had to RUN both big cans to the curb. During the melee-Priss decided she would go into the front yard where Moon was working on tricks and tie/out manners....then the little miss decided to take flight.
So, I took off after her (turning the other way and ignoring does not work with her majesty) and she began a tour of front yards and back yards with me trailing. By the time I caught her I had twisted slightly both ankles, banged my bad foot on a stump, landed in a puddle and scratched my arms.....but I had run the entire way, through some rough areas (well, rougher than a sidewalk) and I did it without worry about whether or not my leg would hold up, and it did hold up.
Now, I'm not going to take this as a sign to go jogging, but it was nice to have the same feeling of freedom on foot that I get on my bike-and be able to take a few bumps and bruises and be ok. It makes me think sometimes that being "handicapped" can become a habit too and we need to readdress our body's capabilities at times.

Well wait till you realize how much muscle you've lost along with all of the weight that is gone! It's amazing how easy I can run now but how weak I've become since I didn't listen to the nut at first about the importance of protein powders!
So now I workout 3 days a week just trying to regain the muscle... it's nice having tat long frame to support instead of my old squarish form...hehe...

I decided that with me only having a month left I am going to get serious about my eliptical trainer! I have got to! Or I won't even be in anyshape to walk after surgery! I have it here in my living room but Its like a badword! I dusted it yesterday and I used it this am! I was doing it pretty good for about a week then decided I didn't like the sweating thing! But I'm gonna get busy!
Have you tried an eliptical? They are a good workout especially if you have bad knees. My knees aren't too bad, but I just really like the eliptical! It works the upper and lower body!
Sorry for laughing at you! You're just too comical!
