Hi There! Coming out of hiding...

Congratulations on getting your date!  My sister had her surgery around the holidays and had no problem; you won't want it for the most part, and it's soooo worth it.

We're glad to have you on our Oklahoma Board.  This is a great group of people and we are a lot of support to each other.  If you have any questions just ask away.  There is always someone who has had the same or similar experience and will share their remarks with you.  Be sure and look for the "rowdy" group at a support meeting and let us know who you are!!!  Take care and good luck on your upcoming surgery...what an awesome Christmas gift to yourself!!!

Good for you, for coming out of hiding! And welcome! Looking forward to meeting you sometime - we do attend support groups (for now I only attend once a month), and we do get together once a month for dinner, and as Glittergal stated we have an Edmond walking group...we are small (three of us), but it's not the size that counts, it's the substance!!

Hi Teri, Welcome to Oklahoma OH and Weight Wise.I had surgery on Dec 12th and made it just find through the holiday. You can do it as well. My first soft food was on Christmas Day. FF refried beans and cheese never tasted so good. Best of luck and have a speedy recovery. Rita
