Lap Band VS Realize Band any preferrences

I am suppose to decide if I want to use the Lapband or the Realize Band, does anyone know the pro's and con's of the two.

My DH has the Lapband, but I don't know much about the Realize Band.

Any suggestions?

When I went to Dr. Gornichec's seminar he said there was NO difference and that if you couldn't decide he would literally just flip a coin.
I don't know anything about either one only what I heard him say!

I also heard there is no difference...  Dr. Katsis's office uses it now.  It has a cool website to go to that you are automatically a member of if you have their band.

Yes, there is a difference.  My doctor showed me both and then we discussed the pro's and con's of both.  The Realize band has saline totally around your stomach.  The other band
has a 1/2 inch place where the plastic is against your tummy.  The Realize band holds 10cc
and the other 3cc.  The max amount they fill the Realize band is 9cc.  I chose the Realize
mainly because of the saline protecting the tissue of the stomach all the way around.  It's
definately up to you, and I'm sure your doctor has both to show you the difference like
mine did.  Hope this helps.
