Weight Gain ?????
I don't know if it's "common," but I know it happens. If you're getting in all the liquids and protein you should, try to increase your biking a bit--maybe do 2 sessions per day. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and you can get out, as walking may be what your body wants. Bundle up. :) Your body may be merely adjusting. Are you weighing once a week or more often? I'm sure it's hard not to obsess about this, but try to relax about the weight loss. It will happen.
Blessings,
Mary

How often are you weighing? My weight (because I used to way many times I day I know this) fluctuates over a several pound range even when it's holding "steadY".
I know with the cold weather I'm having more issues getting liquids in which can begin to set up a whole nasty chain reaction of constipation, etc. Are you pooing regularly? (Not being gross here, constipation can contribute to a sudden weight gain).
I had the same issue and asked Dr. Walton about it at the time. He told me that during the liquids only phase, the body will release lots of fluid that is normally used for digestion, so that when we start to eat foods (even mushies) again, the body has to re-gain some of that fluid to be able to complete the digestive processes.
So, yes, this is common - almost expected as you begin to eat solid or semi-solid food. As Mary has said, try not to worry too much about the small fluctuations in the scale (very hard, I know) because there is really no way that you could be taking in enough calories to be gaining "real" weight at this point.
One of the hardest things I've found in the last six months is making my head go along with my body's schedule for changing. At times I have railed against it and tried to beat my body into submission with exercise, increased fluids, etc... but somehow it is still in charge.
Hang in there - you're doing great. Keep up the exercise and water, and once your body re-adjusts, you'll likely see a larger drop in pounds over just a short period of time.
Have a great day!

You're big "TADA" will be here before you know it. I was one of those at the first seminar that listened to folks share their successes and was amazed and thought to myself if I can only do half as well I will be happy!!! It will add up so fast...2 pounds here; 5 there and on and on. The best thing is "WE ARE NOT ON A DIET!!!" This is our life change and yes, we do have to make good choices but we have a HUGE TOOL....more than I ever got with Weigh****chers etc!!! Good luck and we're looking forward to hearing you with your WOWs...
It is pretty normal. Did you eat anything saltier than normal? Is it TOM? Are you drinking more or less? Any number of things can cause a temporary weight gain. There is NO way you have eaten 3500 MORE calories than your body needs (the amount needed to gain one pound.) Your body will fluctuate in weight day to day. You are looking for long term weight losses- not the day to day changes. You are doing great!!!
