Ya know, I am going straight to hell for this one, but if I thought violating every jo hole there was would help, I would buy the incense in bulk!   Giggle..jo hole..snort

Oh, now the ante is up to a goat?  Eh, they make good tacos, so it's allllll good, hee hee hee  (My MIL is an old goat, can she just come for a visit instead??)

ETA: had to fix spelling errors..apparently I am already being punished for threatening Joe's orifices.

Cranky old ladies don't count-I can't teach Moon to chase them or I'd be evicted from the family (again).  Mmmm, a good old plate of cabrito sounds good.

Well, they should count, and since it is MY MIL, there should be no issues with YOUR family, right?  Besdes...I've seen her run, and she is actually fairly spry on her feet.  Heck, she even makes a braying noise at times that sure as hell sounds like a farm animal of sorts (my FIL calls this odd noise "talking" to me, but all I hear is that farm thang...)

Mmmm..yeah, cabrito sounds reallly good.  I wonder if I can substitute my MIL.  Man, add a nice chianti and some fava beans and I could get a lil scary....

Misery must love company-it always makes me feel better that I'm  not the only person on earth who isn't one big ball of jolly this time of year.

I am, for the first time in a long time, putting up a Christmas tree and looking forward to it-just because I got a really good idea for one and bought the stuff to put it together before I could bah humbug myself out of it.

And for all you single folk-I'd much rather be single during the holidays than any other time of the year-it's easier to pick and choose what you "have" to do.....LOL.  Is that lazy or what?  Allright-it's not lazy-it's just being real.  I sort of did my quota of bending over backwards the first 30 years of my life-not so much into it any longer....

As for the eating- I like Turkey and Ham, so I'm good with that.  Now that I have my SF eggnog syrup and some 2% milk-I'm good to go with the nog......Ho Ho Ho!

I must be all Polly Anna but I LOVE the holidays!!!  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I am excited to put up my Christmas tree already.  I will hold off until after Thabnksgiving though!

The holidays do have some sorrowful times (my Dad died on 12/16/01) but we chose, as a family, to be happy and celebrate as a happy family.  I choose to be happy.  I choose to happily celebrate the holidays.

May the holidays bring happiness and calm to all of you who struggle with the season.

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I am not holding off on my tree-LOL-it's such a cute idea and I wanted the great grandkids (mom's, not mine) to see it so I am putting it together probably next week.

I LOVE the Holidays!! I do all the cooking and love it! If Thanksgiving day is not a good day for everyone...We move it to Friday, Sat or even Sunday. Christmas is the same way....We have had many Christmas dinners on New Years day and just celebrate both on one day. Now that the kids have their own families I always feel Christmas morning should be theirs(Santa comes in the night Christmas Eve). We just try to make it flexible for everyone. Sometimes that is good and bad....but so far, it works. My ex is living with one of my daughters and we tolerate each other for everyone's sake. Sure I hate it but that too is working for now so we do it for them. It's hard to do with 3 familes and 9 of the 11 grandkids. My son in CA, can not make it home so I mail goodies to them and miss them like crazy. It all falls into place somehow...
This year has been hard on everyone so financially it will be a hard time. We usually let the kids draw names but I don't know that we are even going to do that....It is however; very hard for me this year, because I have ALWAYS gotten everyone something....This year there is no way....So some traditions fall aside for a year or forever....If the family can just be together, that is all I would ask for this year. The best thing about this Christmas....and this Thanksgiving will both be my last as a fat woman! That is will make all these Holidays even brighter!!

I love the holidays, but they've definitely changed since the death of my mom. We spend most of them in Enid including Thanksgiving and Christmas which is my favorite season. I have this really strange "nesting" thing with my parents' house. I want to decorate it for Christmas even though no one lives there. I'd like to decorate it, and spend some of Christmas there this year. It sounds strange, but there it is!

I LOVE the holidays! I love the excitement in my kids eyes. We will be going to my grandma's house for Thanksgiving and all her kids and grandchildren will be there. On black Friday me and my mom alway**** the stores at 5am and shop, shop, shop. Later that weekend we will put up our Christmas Decorations. On Christmas Eve, my parents come to our house and spend the night, go to midnight mass. They like being here on Christmas mornings to watch the kids open their presents. We always have a big breakfast and then later on have a small dinner. I love all the excitement but am usually wiped out by Christmas night! Our holiday usually continues on until the end of the year, when we try to make it to where ever OSU is playing their bowl game.

SPILLING THE BEANS..... Ok i'm not a big "holiday" person....  OMG what a commericalized PAIN in the rear....can't get to the bank....can't travel from too much shopping....pessure to buy stuff for people that don't deserve it...  the list goes on and on...

BUT here's the real deal for me....  (And a secret from a classic womanizer)....

When the "holidays" come around  like say...umm.... NEW YEARS EVE....  it REALLY sucks because the girls aways want you to spend that "Magic Moment" with them  and when you're seeing " a few ladies" then it makes for a BAD TIME for me....how to wigle out of these uncomfortable situations?  could break up on purpose...  could try to give that "working on holiday" excuse...but I work for mysef..so that sucks...   Could tell the truth and let them know you're a dog, but then you lose your gravy train.... OR be upfront with them to start with and let them know that you're not interested in spending it with anyone since you just want some time to myself and that Holidays ust aren't my fun time of the year and that they should go to a party and have a great time....

Ahh the anarchy of holiday times... ahh the debauchery I must force myself to endure....LMAO...

Life goes on... regardless of the holidays....  for me, I refuse to be like Scrooge and hate the holidays....after all, i've worked my tail-end off to make certain that everyay is a holiday....  I just hate the "named" holidays...  Remember St Thomas....patron Saint of Hedonism, fun, and debauchery....

Bah....and humbug...  or if you're in a warm destination, "ARGH Matey!"
