ULCER UPDATE!

Hey Okie Friends,

A couple of weeks I developed another ulcer.  This is my second since my surgery.  Neither of them were from h-pylori, but were caused by stress.  I may have to have a revision surgery done because both ulcers were in the exact same spot in my pouch. I'll be seeing Dr. Foote, my bariatric surgeon on the 17th.  So far my labs are all good and the meds I am on seem to be healing the ulcer.   I hope I don't have to have a revision done - its the last thing we need right now.  We are still hoping and praying that Steve will get a liver transplant soon.

I just posted a new picture taken last weekend.  The dress I am wearing is a size 14 and is getting quite "roomy."  My weight continue to come off very slowly but is definately re-distributing itself.   My WLS surgeon said it is great and quite unusual to still be losing 3 1/2 yrs post op.

I hope you are all healthy and happy.  I think of you all often.

Huggs,
Pam

Hi Pam.  I haven't seen you around in a while!  I'm glad things are going ok for you.  I hope the Dr. gives you the all clear when you see him.

I've kept you and DH in my prayers!
Its good to hear from you!

Thanks Kim.  You are such a wonderful group of people.  I wished I lived closer so we could all get together once in a while for lunch or something.  Thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers.

You look so pretty, Pam. I'm happy for you, that you are losing weight still. I pray that whatever will help you feel healthy and good again will be done. Of course, I am believing for that miracle for your DH. I don't know why God waits to move until the last moment. I think it's so He gets all the glory, that everyone recognizes that He did it, not anyone else.
Congratulations on your continued movement on the weight-loss journey.
Blessings,
Mary
