Full Bar???
Has anyone heard of Full Bar? It was created by a Bariatric surgeon. I got one last night at GNC. I am going to try it for my pre surgery weight loss. I also found lots of high protein drinks in there.
I just wondered if anyone had heard of Full Bar or tried it. There is a website I looked at. I have tried everything else I guess it won't hurt to try this too!
Thanks for your input!

I don't know that Full Bar is for WLS patients. I think its an alternative option to surgery. The reason I posted it is because I want to try it to help me lose some before my WLS. I don't HAVE to lose to have the surgery, but I'd like to get started. I will probably have surgery in 5 or 6 weeks. I just thought It might give me the extra help I need. I didn't know if anyone else had tried it. Its not protein or anything. Its supposed to fill your stomach so you won't be as hungry.
The protein I was talking about is at GNC and it comes in a bottle like pop or juice. It has 40g of protein and zero carbs. Its called isopure. I assume it would count as your liquid for the day. Its 20 oz of liquid. I haven't tried it yet because I'm waiting until tomorrow. If I like It I'll use it pre-surgery and post-surgery. I'll let you know how I like it!
Kim,
I've heard of the full bar. I have my sincere doubts about it since it's supposed to make you full... I think I'd just drink tonsof water, and then eat a small sponge or something...then I'd order my meal... it might be cheaper in the long run...lol...
Have you tred some "flax" seed cereal? Flax-Z-snax can be bought at netrition.com.... it's good, very filling, super low carbs and MEGA high in fiber, tastes great after you add a bit of splenda to it.... so it's cheap, it works great, and it will fill you up while giving you the fiber to get the bad stuff outta you before the surgery!
Or... you could try my "eat a sponge" idea..but i wouldn't think it would be tasty.... unless....er...no, no..no...
Just a bt of my odd input...

Ok I have heard of Zeta Caps and some other types of stuff that is supposed to make you feel full. They have done studies and have found that basically they are fiber that swells up in your stomach. There are so many money grabbers out there that we heavy people will pay out the bucks for just to lose weight! I will not miss doing that. Kim, take a couple fiber pills and drink a big glass of water about 30 min before a meal. You will have the same effect I would think. I used to eat some caramal candy 30 min before a meal with a glass of warm water.....it was really all fiber. I think the high protein drinks will be the best bet.
I have heard of isopure but never tried it. I am thinking maybe it was Dan who mentioned it before.
This is so freaking hard....I am basically dieting for 3 months to maintain this weight loss....It sucks that I have to maintain it so long!!
Have you taken all the rice, pasta, breads and soft drinks out of your diet yet? That is a good start. I decided to do that when I found out that they wont be allowed after the surgery. I didn't want to go into shock afterwards. I still may have some off and on....but basically it's gone from my house. That has helped me alot. If it's not here...I can't eat it. With a family though, that is hard.
Let me know what you think of the "Full Bar"
Thanks for the advice!!!
I'll be in OKC on the 19th. I think my DH is coming with me this time! I have to have my surgical consult. I'm submitted for insurance now. HOPEFULLY I will have an answer soon! I have checked and all of my testing so far has been paid at 100%. I thank the Good Lord for my really good insurance. I could never afford this with out it! (I probably wouldn't spend the money on me like that anyway!)
TTYL!
