Hello, New here to OH.

Hi my name is Sarah and I am scheduled for RNY Monday Novemeber 10th. I will be using Dr Keith and so far have been very pleased with his office and staff and how they have treated me. 


I have high Blood Pressure, Sleep Apnea, I have cronic backand hip pain, and i am pre- diabetic so i am hoping to improve my health with this suregry. I am a single mom of two kids who need me to be around while they grow up.  I have been sitting back reading and love teh fact that there are places for us like this and of course OWLO has a support forum as well that is great to.

Good Luck to all who are also having surgery soon and those of you who have started your journey already. I can't wait to be on the losing side.

Glad to have you drop in. This board is one of the best! Yes, you are right! You need to be around to watch your children grow up, as well as your grandkids, but you need to do this for you too!
Your surgery is quickly approaching! I know you may feel nervous, but this board is the place to be for prayers and encouragement. This board is full of answers that you may need even if you are afraid to ask, they will be happy to answer you in a Private Message.
All the members on this board are quick to help you with what you need as they have lived it.

Welcome to the most supportive forum on OH.com! :)  Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I'm sure you'll do fine. I hope you'll have help afterward, because you will need to rest and not lift, etc.
I'm having VSG surgery one week after your RNY, so I'll pray for you if you'll pray for me. [Well, I'd pray for you anyway.] :)

I'm so happy you decided to join the OK fourm.  There are so many amazing people on here and you will be supported in the best possible way.  Your surgery is really coming up soon!  I'm happy for you.
I hope to have surgery in Dec.  I'm getting excited too!  I'm also hoping to have RNY.  I have to travel to OKC for my surgery!

Welcome Sarah!!!  We're getting your place on the "LOOSER'S BENCH" all ready for you.  It's an amazing place and will be the journey of a lifetime.  Hang on to your hat because it will be a fast ride.  We'll be thinking about your and praying for your safe procedure and your protection during that time.  Take care and let us hear from you!!!  You'll be glad that you can actually play with your kids as well as be around for your grandkids and have energy to spare.

Thank You all for the welcome and I am ready to occupy that losers bench. I will never be happier to be called a loser! I will say all the preayers you guys need at anytime for anyone undergoing any surgery. I actually know Pattye from LOD and was glad to hear her surgery went well and she was tired but ok last night. I start the liquid only portion of my diet tomorrow and am running around like amaniac trying to get everything ready for me, the kids and out mini zoo of furbabies as well. Thankfully I have a great mom who is helping me out.

WOW you have a surgery comin up really really quick girlfriend...U will do fine. I am schedule a week after you and am a bit nervous but not bad at all. Stay connected to this group, u will be fine

Hey lady!  Welcome to our little corner of OH!  Hopefully you will find all the love, support and information you need here!  Congratultations on making such a wise decision to take control of your life.  You will be ever so glad and happy that you did this.  I would never have lost 82 pounds without help.  For once in my life, I have a chance at being a "normal" weight.

Hi Sarah it's great to have you join us here on the OK message board.  I myself have learned a lot from being here.  These ladies and gentlemen can help you a lot. Never be afraid to ask a question about anything, we will try to help if we can. Congratulations on taking this step to WLS.  I had VSG in August and it is the best thing I could have ever done for myself, wish I had done it sooner.  Good luck, hope to see you around the board often.  Lisa
