Test One Showed No Leak

I passed the swallow test today!! I am very encouraged but I still need to get through the CT on Thursday before Dr. B will start me back on food and liquids. I am very optimistic though that I will get positive results on Thursday.

That's so good to hear Kim! I will keep on praying then for Thursday's tests. I'm glad he is being so careful with this....What in the world are you eating right now??

I haven't eaten or drank anything (except the yucky dye for the tests) since Sep. 13th. To be honest I don't really miss it anymore. I am getting TPN through a PICC line 24 hours a day for nutrition so I'm maintaining my present weight. Hopefully, I will get to start with liquids next week!!!

YES!!!!! How are you feeling? Better? I just know your CT will be great on Thursday and then you will get to move to mushies!! Cardboard will probably taste good to you at this point! LOL

I'm feeling better. I still don't have a lot of endurance but I am doing better. I am eager to get the CT but I doubt if Dr. B will let me go to mushies for a while. My guess is that I will have to do liquids for a while before I can graduate to mushies but I won't know that for sure until I can see Dr. B.

I'm so glad you are on the mend! I just know that Thursday you will pass all your tests and you will be up and going in no time! Stay positive! You will get through this! Just in time for Turkey Day! Yippy!
