I've been a bad girl...
No flaming here either!!! We had surgery on our stomachs....not a lobotomy!!! We still think like the "old person" and we can't break a lifetime of habits over night. Just look at how far you've come in such a short time. I was really thankful that I couldn't tolerate the homemade apple cake with homemade caramel frosting on it on the OU/TX game day. It was so good...but not so good when I hurled on the sugar (dumping is the nice word I guess). I just had to try it knowing the entire time I shouldn't eat it even if it didn't make me dump. We might "slip" up at Christmas too but...we're just human and at least we can pick up where we left off and leave it behind us!!!
Oh Kimmie.....I am so there with you. I face the eating demons every day. You are so right about it being a slippery slope. I've let my DH's habits creep back into our kitchen and WOW....I am in the fight of my life. If you've been good since May, don't be so hard on yourself. The worst thing that I've found out from my sleeve is that sugar & carbs DO NOT make me dump....OH HOW I WISH THEY DID!!! That means I still have to have will power. Not one of my strong suits. I'll keep you in my thoughts!
Get back on that horse there missy!!!

We can't undo 40+ years of fat brain thinking in just a few months. The fact is that you did NOT eat the whole bag! You stopped at whatever point and corrected your error. I knew for certain I could not be trusted with any chocolate in the house and bought weird Halloween candy. I did eat some of it but the rest is still sitting here (need to take it to school to give to the fron toffice girls.)
Don't short yourself on the healthy food to "make up" for bad eating choices. If you do that you will be starving and more likely to make more bad choices.
Hop back on the old horsie! And, welcome to the human race- you are fallible like the rest of us.
