You found a great place to share your concern.  I didn't have bypass but there are plenty on here that did and they all say they have to take supplements the rest of their life.  Even though I had the sleeve I have to take some as well.  I would start right away getting the right nutrients to your body.  I am sure the lack of nutrition has compounded your depression and medical conditions.

I wish you could get up the courage to come to a support group meeting.  Many of us go to Weight Wise for their pouch wise support meetings.  They are open to anyone even if you had surgery somewhere else.  We could all meet you there so you wouldn't feel like you were alone or with strangers.  Having a group of people you can turn to that have had the same surgery makes all the difference in the world.

Mark today on your calendar as a day that you began to take back control of your life!  It will happen one small step at a time.....never, ever, ever, give up!

You have gotten great advice so I can't add anything else to that except you MUST do what they say to get back on track.  If not for yourself, then for your grandchild!

I would also like to extend an invitationt to you to meet me at the WeightWise support group next Thursday night, November 6 at 6:00.  I will meet you there early and introduce you to everyone.  This is a very, very non-judgemental group and loves and supports each other.  We understand what the other is going through.  We have been there!  We are you!!!

My name is Kim.  Please meet me there!!!  I am begging you to do this because you will feel mountains better afterwards!

My heart goes out to you. Everyone here has offered you great advice. Take baby steps to get back on track. Maybe do the vitamins and protein for a few weeks until that becomes habit then work on cutting the carbs out, etc. The vitamins and protein are so vital to your health!!! Best of luck to you :)

I don't have anything profound to add, but agree with those who suggest getting on the water, vitamin, and calcium routine.  I also agree that you'll have the support here.  I hope it all works out for you soon.

You did indeed come to the right place to post!  Big hugs to you!

OK,, here is the deal- YOU NEED TO GET ON VITAMINS TONIGHT!!!  DON'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW!!!  You need to take under the tongue (sublingual) B-12 every single day for the rest of your life!  You need to take at least one multivitamin each day and probably 2, you need 3 calcium a day.  You may feel like heck because you are so nutritionally compromised.  Yes, a vitamin deficiency can make you depressed and certainly tired.

You are going to have to see a doctor.  Preferably one of the WLS guys in this area.  You need an assessment to determine just how much and which vitamins you are deficient in.  You can also assess whether your pouch has really stretched or if you are just readdicted to carbs which make you hungrier.

Weight Wise in Edmond has their support group for RNYers and sleevers next Thursday (11/6).  It starts at 6 PM and ends about 7:30 or whenever we quit talking.  You need to get some face to face support to get back on the wagon.

Keep posting so we can keep supporting you as you regain control of your life.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

If you had NOT had the bypass, you may have weighed 400 pounds by now, instead of 190, so I hope you don't regret having the surgery.  Surgery didn't cause any of the other things-thats just how life goes sometimes.

You can start adding water right now-and that will really help with energy.  Then get a good vitamin and anything else you need for the RNY.  Water and vitamins-two easy, fairly low cost things you can do to make a difference.

Then exercise-if you have dogs-you have exercise buddies.  (If you have horses, I'll come out and ride with you....LOL).

I hear what cowboy is saying with start over, but sometimes, especially when you feel overwhelmed, starting slow is more doable than starting over FAST.   Get the water, exercise and vitamins going, and then address the food.
