I know that this may not seem like that big a deal to most...but you have to keep in mind that I have what is typically referred to as a ghetto booty...I have the hourglass shape even if I have no body fat....which may have happened for 10 seconds in 7th grade!  lol  But, today I went shopping the sales rack for some black jeans....and I fit into a size 16!  OMG!  Seriously, I was a size 16 when I got married the first time when I was 18 years old!  I haven't lost much at all in a long time but I did feel like things were loser and I felt thinner.  I still can't believe I got my rear end in a size 16.  What's funny is I took an 18 and a 20 to the dressing room.  I had to go back out and get the 16.  I have never had to get a smaller size than what I was guessing I wore.... always before it was too tight had to go up a size!!!  It's just the encouragement I needed to kick it into high gear and get out of this stall!  I am now taking my daughter and her friend to the Blazers game...gonna freeze my ghetto booty off!  lol  Happy Sunday everyone!

CONGRATS!!!!  That is wonderful!  That first pair of "regular" size pants is a huge accomplishment!  Now get that "ghetto booty" in gear and get to goal!  That was said with only care and concern in my voice- promise!

Have fun at the hockey game.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

my youngest daughter told me just today that she was glad I gave her the ghetto booty and not the huge boobs.  My eldest has those and no butt!  Poor babies!  I think I am going to hope for goal by my 45th birthday....sounds like a great present and it gives me plenty of time to get there!  lol  You know the last parts the hardest!

thanks!
I'm super excited!
I know a lot of people's "goal size" is a lot smaller than a 16 but I am seriously wowed by seeing a tag with a 16 or an XL on it...It's bizzare after all these years!

OMG Diana I so know what you mean!!  That first time I went to buy some Rockies back in March and was actually able to get into JUNIOR size 15's it made everything SO WORTHWHILE!!  And even though the memory of WHOM I was with when I bought them still annoys me, it still does not diminish the fact that I was buying JUNIOR jeans!

I think of that feeling every Friday & Saturday night I put those Rockie's and my boots on to go dancing!!  Keep up the great work girl!  You are ALMOST to your one year surgiversary!!  I am so proud of you!!!

WOOHOO CHICKIE!!!

My 17 year old gave me some of her pants that are a junior 15.  She said they were too big for her and they would probably fit me.  I must admit I haven't tried them yet!  Maybe I will!!!  I never would have thought I'd be getting hand me downs from my kids either!  This is so WEIRD!!!

Excuse me!
That is a big deal to me!
I can just imagine your joy in going back for a smaller size...To me that has been one of the great wowees!
To actually have to go back for a smaller size when I have been so use to trying to find the largest and hoping it fits.
KUDDOOES TO YA! i AM HAPPY FOR YOU!!!
