Calcium question

I have been a major calcium slacker since surgery!  I am trying to do better.  I have forgotten how long you need to wait between doses for maximum absorption.  Is it 4 hours?  Anyone remember?

Fellow calcium slacker, here. I think it's 4 hours between iron and calcium. I don't remember guidelines between calcium doses.

Your body can't absorb calcium if you take iron with it so you have to keep them 2 hours apart...

I need to know how long between doses of calcium.  I know you can't take all 3 at once (too bad ) but can't remember the preferred dosing schedule for the calcium.

I always take the iron at bedtime so it is away from calcium.

You guys scared me with your 4 hours!!!  I thought I had been doing it wrong!!  It's so hard to get 3 in a day.  They have really got to come up with a better way!  When are they going to bring back the creamy bites calciums?  Those were the bomb!!!  Funny how hard it is to remember the "kitty litter" bariatric advantage calciums!  (Stole that from Happy Cat and everytime I gag one down I think of her!  lol)

Diana, I contacted Bariatric Advantage and the Weight Wise estore to ask about the creamy calcium chews.  The answer waas that due to unforseen manufacturing issues they don't know when they will have them.  Not a happy camper here!

Yes  you can. I just take the plain old big calcium pills. It's okay after you are six months post op.
