Surgery over and home
Be careful and don't walk further than the return trip. You'll get the hang of the liquids soon. I'm not sure I got 64 oz down in the beginning either, but I can't remember. Don't weigh yourself until you go in for your first checkup. I went from 303 on surgery day to 289 after 2 weeks of liquids. Don't worry and don't beat yourself up. You're going to do just fine!
The left side hurting is normal -- that's where your old stomach made its exit ! I remember thinking I would never get that much fluid down and at first it was a 24 hour job, but now it's a walk in the park -- and truthfully I get about 96 oz a day now -- who'd a thunk for a person who never drank anything !
