Oh, I get it!

Pistol Pete is the OSU mascot.  The OU mascot used to be an indian named "Little Red" but that became too non-PC so he is no more.  But I knew someone who was Little Red back in the day, he was American Indian and had no problem with the whole concept-but I guess that is more of an ethnic issue than 'cowboy"...cowboys were not just white men-they came in all colors (and if Brokeback Mt. is correct, all sexual persuasions too....).

I didn't go to either school and my family is pretty much 50/50 on their support for either or team-so I really don't favor one over the other.  But I was in my 20's when I went to college, with a child, so the whole social part of school wasn't a big thing for me.

OK....here's everyone's laugh for the day...I am so NOT into football...even though I was born and raised an OKIE...that when I read this I thought you were talking about Weight Wise and OWLA. (I think those are the initials)  lol     It wasn't until I read the other posts I realized you were talking about FOOTBALL TEAMS!  I crack myself up!!!!!  I thought I had missed some drama on the boards in the past few days! 

  now theres a competition...You cracked me up with this....hey do ya think that at the Walk from Obesity hnext year we could have a competition...whos post ops can out walk the other....

I have never been good in competition.  It is almost against my character at the very core of my soul!!!  lol  That's why I can't pick between OU and OSU!  lol  I like it when we are all on the same team!!!  GO OH!!!  LOL
