Just got starters I have to say that I so MISS you all when I am away from the boards!!!!!

Ok so I went to tulsa to the Dr yesterday. My mom had to drive me of course since I am under restrictions.  They removed the staples and OUCHIES... There was a guy in the waiting room that was friendly and when my kids asked it if was going to hurt I said I sure hope not. He asked if they was inmy back and of course I said yes.  He told me not to worry just felt like pulling a little hair.  UH NO it doesnt!!!  lol he must be tough or I am a WIMP!  Anyways my dr tried to keep me talking I guess to keep my mind off the little ouchies.  Anyways she told me that I have done an excellent job taking care of myself and that the incision looks good!  Told me that she wants to me walk 60 minutes a day which is the same as it was this last 2 weeks.  She said 5 minutes and hour 10 every 2. she didnt care how it was split up but be up 60 minutes a day and I guess I gave her a funny look and she asked me what the look was for?  Well I guess I cant compare this surgery to my last back surgery since this one was much more serious then the last.  I was back to work in 6 weeks last time.  She told me that I cnat compare the two and that I am on a 6month to a year minnimum healing for what I had to have done.  Yeah my mouth dropped and eyes popped out.

So no driving, no lifting, no laundry, no vaccuming, no sex.... NO NOTHING, well I do get 60 minutes a day... lol  I hate being down like this but I WILL do just as my dr tells me to do!!!!!  I promise to mind!  I go back in 4 weeks, its on a wednesday. Sure hoping that the Tulsa meet and greet is that night so I dont have to miss another one.. :P

Anyways,  for the record I weight 198 pounds!!!!! Thats a total of 104 pounds lost!  I made it to my 100 pounds off and the the hundreds period!!!!!!!!!  I AM DANCING ok well as well as I can in bed.. lol
Well I am done here gonna go do a little reading in the forums so I can see how my friends are doing.

Hugs and love to you all!!!

It is nice to see you posting. You are going to have a long recovery time. My husband had back surgery a week ago. He has to be off for 3 months. Sorry you are still in pain, but it will get better. Take it easy. Congrats on the hundred pounds lost. That is awesome. I am doing a happy dance for you.

Having had ortho surgery a few times,  I can honestly say the healing time can be more frustrating than the surgery-but complying with orders will make the time shorter than if you don't.  Sad but true.

Hang in there kiddo!

You are doing awesome and I am glad to see you posting!
THe staples hurt like crazy and I dont care where they are located...fyi in you have them in the munis pubis area....they will give you a valium or two before removing them...
what hurts more is tension holding stitches....
and no you are not a wimp...men say crap doesnt hurt cause they dont want to be sissies....

I bet if that guy ever had to go through labor he would be crying like a baby wanting his Mommy
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Speaking of labor and delivery, I always think of what Rachel said to Ross (on Friends):  "No uterus, no opinion!" lol

It is good to hear from you.  My husband is recovering from major back surgery and it looks like he might have to have a second surgery as his symptoms have returned.  How far apart were your two surgeries (just curious)?  I'm worried that if he has to have another surgery (3 mos after the first) that he will have a harder time recovering.

Congrats on the weight loss.  You are doing awesome.
